Re: Tuning Advice Needed
How’s everything going with your swap now? Did you figure out the belt squeal?

Re: Tuning Advice Needed
Lol, if they cant get a simple thing like electric fans to work like there intended... take to craps on the review and just buy hp tuners. It's an investment that will almost pay for itself.
You buy it, 550$ ish.. comes with 8 credits... gm uses 2. That's 4 tunes. One for you 3 for friends. Sell them for more than cost, 50/per credit for tinkering and make almost all of it back.

Re: Tuning Advice Needed
I didn't update, the ebay tuner fixed my fan issue for free so I am good. I never could get the truck running on the BP Automotive tune (2 times). I am calling that a loss.
The belt squeal I still have, last major issue to resolve. 3 belts, 2 tensioners, 1 alternator, and more time shimming and adjusting than it took to paint my truck at this point and Kwik went radio silent on me so looks like I need to go through VA again.

Re: Tuning Advice Needed
Good to hear you have a good tune.
Could you post a couple pics of the engine bay? I want to see what you did to mount the ecu and the snorkel. I think I’m gonna try the ICT top mount when I get to my ac next year. |

Re: Tuning Advice Needed
I put the ECU under the passenger seat, ran the harness back the tunnel beside the transmission. My build thread has the latest engine pics, used a stock airbox and swapped battery to DS similar to how LS1Nova does his (basically copied his engine bays). I don't have any pics on this computer and it is dark by the time I get home to take one.

Re: Tuning Advice Needed
My harness isn’t long enough to do that. I’m thinking of mounting the ecu on the driver fender.

Re: Tuning Advice Needed
I just ordered the tejas steelworks ecm mount for the square body. I'm pretty sure it'll work on these trucks.
