the shackle side of the spring, in the stock location is where the new shackle mounts. and turned pointing down. basically if you turn the shackle up side down in the mount its in its equivilent to the shackle flip. you saying relocating the axle you mean the pinion angle is changed correct. yes the pinion angle is changed it will need to be shimmed ( with steel shims) to withinn 2 degrees of the transfercase out put. i hope this helps

foothillguy, are you sure it needs shims? its not like with a 4" lift springs, where the axle is still level.....with the shackle flip the pinion gets angled up towards the tcase. since the added lift is all at the back..

sure as it gets. the driveline yokes have to be withinn 2 degrees of each other to ensure no vibrations and max life for u joints. that is the correct way to line up u joints on a non cv style driveshaft if he had a cv you would want to point the rear end at the driveshaft thats how to set up a cv style driveshaft

why should i have to look at MY!!!! pic
its my truck that i built
i know if the spring perchs have been altered or not if you read some of the other replies on this thread you would understand the consept of the design
good place for some info
more good pics of install
so please listen to the people that are actually useing the products

i would recomend a shackle flip to anyone doing a lift
but just my opinion

heres a pic with stock rear springs and a shackle flip....i never noticed the rear end looking too far forward at all....
