I've had a Mallory HEI for over 20 years. It was in my Skylark for many years, now it's in my truck, as I put a Buick engine in the Skylark when the SBC 305 I had in there croaked.

"HEI is less maintenance," All true statements. The down side of that is we never open them up for even basic cleaning. We open them and find every thing covered with fine rust dust and remember it has been ten years since we provided even basic maintenance.
