I loved my S-10. But going from a fullsize to a small truck you probably won't be happy. Although I did have more leg room in my truck, mostly cause it was ext. cab, then any fullsize i've been in.

If I was you, i'd keep the truck. You already have a V8, and you probably won't be happy with the power out of the V6s.

Trust me, I love first gen S-10s and still wish I had mine. BUT I love the feel of a fullsize and of course the V8 power.

I'm sure you are just getting bored with your truck. I felt that way about 2 thousand times with the S-10, but got over it. You only have 1 more year and your truck isn't under the sniffer. Man don't make a mistake!!!

S-10s are great little trucks. I'd like to have another. Like I said, you probably won't like the change. If you do, it'll probably wear off fast.

Go get something for your truck now, it'll make ya wanna keep it.

What do you mean? 75's are exempt as of January 1st, 2004...So, I could PROBABLY sell it for pretty high, cuz it's exempt. Ehh, I'm gonna keep my truck...just modify it AND my driving habits, to give me at LEAST 15mpg around town...(drop down to 3.55 gears with my 28" tires and also drive VERY gas mileage friendly)

I have heard of ALOT of people with v8's in S-10's. www.blazinlow.com has alot of s-10 blazers with v8's.

I just parked my nice 97 s-10 so that I could drive a beater c-10. Although the c-10 is beat it still looks way better than that guttless wonder s-10. Don't do it! You will hate it!

I've got a '84 K20 & an '87 S10 (2.5L 4cyl 4spd manual)... I like driving them both for different reasons... however, I think the ol K20 will be along long after I end up selling the S10. It's bigger, meaner - and while it guzzles the gas - tailgaters don't bother me so much in it.

i saved this pic of an s-10 awile back..thought it looked tough as hell

i'd like to have one like this

and still swing around 22mpg's

Timspeed, I had a '99 s-10 blazer, 2-door. I really liked it, but it rode like crap and wasn't that fast even with the 4.3. The best mpg I could get was 16 driving like grandma, that's not that great. I sold it and got an old camry

to drive to work and try to drive my '85 c10 lwb on the weekends. Please, Don't do it.

Go to GD, and look for the shop talk link. It is a "adults only" type of GD board on this site. I go in there once in a while, but it really isn't my cup of tea.

Have you been happy with Camry and do you think it is the best midsize overall?

i had a '98 jimmy w/4.3 and it got the same gas mileage as my '88 1500 with a 350/700r4

. going to a 4.3 S10 is not gonna save our pockets from hurting all that much.
