I tried it I don't know how many times in the past with a regular wrench and never could get in the right position with ione due to the case's curves. With the crow's foot I was able to get to both the flare nut and the bushing behind it. Both my flare nuts were "welded" into the bushings so have to take those out rather than just the nuts. This time I'm going back and replacing them all to have it done right.

STILL waiting on my block and parts at the machine shop. After they are done I still need to check all clearences and then have them balance the rotating assembly and since I have no job right now its perfect timing, but the bastards ain't done yet!!!

Installed my shift light in the dash (where the auto trans gear indicator is). Had a few problems with the shift light though. Had a bad connection and didn't have enough wire to fix it. May have to buy a new shift light. I used the proform shift light because you can adjust it without "chips". I mounted the adjuster between the speedo and tach on the top, and ran the wires down to the bulb in the shifter indicator area. I am not using the shift light case at all and had to cut wires and extend them and thats where I ran into problems. The shift light bulb is orange and mounts behind a clear piece of acrylic. Man when it was working it was bright. The wire connection that was loose caused the light to flash on and off as I hit bumps. I pulled it all apart again and didnt have enough wire to fix it. The wires are solder to a circuit board and its tight, I dont think I can fix it. But I am going to try.

I also had to make my old heat and defrost cables work, since they are discontinued and I cant find new ones anywhere. I had to cut some of the old clips off and use regular clips I purchased from Lowes. With a little tape on the inside of the clip I was able to get a tight solid connection and everything works great. I drove around for months with the temp on high and the defrost always running. Now that I have the cables hooked up and working I can close off the heater core and close the heater/defrost doors. Its so much better!

Got a few other small things done.

Well update on my weekend (still going

)- I was able to polish my valve covers and ait cleaner as they were tarnished from using some cleaner that was not for chrome or aluminum. Yeah I had a workout doing that but it's looking better now. As soon as the wife gets my parts from the auto store for the tranny cooler I'll be happy.

Saturday 2 of my boys and I hauled a load of firewood home.

I replaced the power steering hoses and flushed the old fluid out & filled with new in my Truck.

Finished up the final details on my wife's X1/9 as Sunday was the first Autocross of the season.

The car perfomed flawlessly both driving there and back (120+ miles) and racing. I placed 3rd and she placed 5th Sunday afternoon. Not too bad for it's first outing after all the work I did to it this winter.

didn't do anything on the truck. i drove my buddies tractor around his land while he sat in the doser scoop in the front of it holding a chainsaw and i lifted him about 20 ft in the air and drove him around while he cut big tree branches down

then we chainsawed the branches and hauled them to the burn pile in the crew cab

i played photographer agian with the picture phone

Just timed my truck again, its running good and smooth now

Exhaust doesn't fly off anymore either! woohoo!

Now to eventually break in, buy the tool I need to adjust my carb, and tune it up...
