This is what I did 7 or 8 years ago. I haven't opened them since! Nice and quiet...

Yes, it would be difficult I guess, but not impossible. They actually bend metal to the correct shape, then make the glass, including bends, etc. Silicone sounding better and better

They have them for the 67-72 so I am sure someone makes them for the 73-87
