Got ready for Veterans Day Parade - Unfortunately starting to rain like hell now. Parade starts in 2 hours -- we will see.

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
Threw in some Stabil, changed oil, cleaned both the interior and exterior, put the truck on skateboards so I could move it close to the wall and put the cover on. It will probably sit like this until late April.

I actually pulled mine out of the garage and started it up yesterday, and let it run for a while.

Cut out a bad spot in the back of the cab.
When I removed the metal, dirt poured out that was trapped behind the back cab support. Made a patch panel to weld back. Luckily it will be hidden. |

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
Finished the CB radio project in the works for about a year this weekend.
The body of a '50's Johnson Viking Messenger 1 with the guts of a 1976 13-830 model Midland CB. LED's under the old tubes to simulates glowing. Took some time to get everything to fit and hide the obvious. Fully functional. Now to wait til spring for paint and install.

Got about 90% of the interior finished. Just headliner to go and then plop the seats back in.

They are 1/2 round solid stainless steel. Cut and bent to desired shape.

1st coat of drip rail seam sealer. See how it looks with primer if I need another coat or not.

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
Old was removed. This is SEM 39777 high build self level. First time using it and so fat it’s ok. I need to do another pass after primer to get a better finish.

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
nice job on the seal sealer. did you use a heat gun to make it flow out so nicely?

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
A little heat from a propane torch. Mainly just my finger after I laid it. It flows nice.

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
Laid down some Custom Coat bed liner today. This stuff covers the ugly nicely.

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
I finished the 16 nitrous/fuel hard lines on the 6-71 for the 292 going in my 53 3100. I also made the line clamps and the distribution block mount. It's my first time doing this and I kind of impressed myself. It's not as hard as it looks.

Looks like a freaking jet engine! That's amazing! I wouldn't want to have to polish all that shiny stuff, though.
