Took some pics of my rear window where we replaced the bottom flange. Still need to finish welding the top. Bottom just needs body work now.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

Prepped the bottom of my firewall for primer. You can see on the bottom right we welded in most of the Porterbuilt firewall kit. Just need to flip the cab back over so we can bodywork it and weld in the last piece that rounds out the corner.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

And my last pictures are of my first welding job we found more rust this time in the outer lower kick panel areas (don't know what it is really called) So i tried my hand at welding with some tips from my father. I think i did a pretty good job. Still have to do the other side as it has a little rust in it.

You're doing a real good job on that, lots of good parts too, and congrats on your first welding job. Always cool to learn to do new things. Keep after it!

Thanks, I figured my brother isn't always around to weld for me so I might as well learn myself. I thought this would be the place to try it out cause even if I did a hack job it would be covered by the fender. I'll let my brother finish weld my rear window channel

Thanks John, she is definitely a keeper. She puts up with all my craziness and even calls this website "porn" too

I was excited when we fired the engine, it sounded so mean. Told the wife she will need earplugs can't wait to get it out on the street and let her rip

Thanks, it was a hard decision selling the Coys as I changed my mind about it numerous times. I finally decided it is the right decision.
