Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!
It may be that people tend to keep vehicles longer here in the PNW than a lot of other places in the country.
Every one of our vehicles on the place except one qualifies for "Classic" plates in this state being over 20 years old. That one is an 02 VW Passat that is my wife's daily driver. I remember when I lived in Texas a lot people questioned why I would drive a car over 5 years old because they thought anything over five or six years old was just too old to drive. I knew at least three people down there who had never bought a set of tires for a car because they had never kept one that long. Here the farmer might get a new truck every three or four years but usually turns his old one over to his foreman who in turn hands the one he is driving over to the field hands ot irrigate or do chores with. A lot of those trucks never get traded in or sold until they are so worn out they can't be fixed anymore. The other thing may be that a lot of areas in eastern Washington or Oregon are far enough off the beaten path that scrappers didn't get those trucks when scrap was high. That's good for the guys hunting them now though because a lot of the guys who have them stashed out with the farm machinery haven't been harasser by people trying to buy them. Some of those now may have watched too many episodes of Pickers and decide that that row of old trucks down in that patch of sage brush between the wheat fields and hidden between the old broke down combines are all the sudden worth a ton of money.

This 57 showed up on the local FB. Looks like one you could fly in to Pasco and then drive it home.

As I said before, it would be pretty easy for someone to fly into the Pasco Wa airport (PSC) and drive it home anywhere in the country. If I had the cash I'd be all over it right now and be hitting the road with it.

An AD "humpback" panel truck, one of only six made, the seller claims. I've never seen one before.

Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!
Well if it is one of six they need the documentation on who did the conversion and for who.
The truck is pretty cool but if you are buying one like that you intend to show in as an original restored truck in big shows and there are a lot of things that aren't right on it for that. Cute such as the body color air cleaner and light green engine but either or both would cost you and award at any serious Chevy truck show.

The Humpback MIGHT be rare but that doesnt make it desirable.

Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!
Not desirable as a modified rig but put back with the correct colors on the parts that have wrong color paint on them and painted correctly on the outside, meaning paint the fenders body color and paint the underside of the body and fenders chassis black rather than green and you have a truck that you can take to National Chevy truck shows and draw some positive attention.
When the car lot selling says it is one of six, what documentation do they have? Who owned it, Milk company, laundry company or ?? Done in authentic paint and signage for the company it was originally converted for would be worth a lot of show points.

Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!
The thing on the hump back is that the owner's personalization in the engine compartment will probably cost him some sales and or cost him several thousand dollars in sale price.
Wrong color paint on the engine, Green painted air cleaner and some other miscues. To the guys who want totally original that is almost as bad as seeing an LS under the hood. Pretty but being judged on originality in the stone stock class you just lost a lot of points.

Everyone has their own opinion on "beautiful". To my eye it looks like a turtle. Yes, it's unique but I would never call it "beautiful". I call it unique but I'd never want it, hence rare, unique but not necessarily desirable.

Y'all Grumpy Gus's gonna double down, eh? Heck, it's almost like giving a compliment comes out of your paycheck
I came here to post a unique AD panel beer vending truck that's currently listed online, but since this humpback made y'all so unhappy, I don't want to ruin anyone else's day

He's deciding if he wants to spring for the turtle and repaint it as an Olympia or Lucky Lager beer truck.

50 COE project that showed up on FB marketplace a little while ago.

East coast find. 58 GMC Suburban, from Cali, looks decent.

Another east coast truck. 54 3100. Lowered, rebuilt six, dual carbs, dual exhaust, 4 wheel disc. Probably a much better deal than the 58 above based on the amount of work done.
