I painted my side covers today. Blue was a little lighter than expected.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I tried to install the new rubber line for the rear brakes and it wouldn't come lose from the hard line. Good thing I got a new complete kit last week. But the rubber line is the wrong size so I need to call classic parts and see what to do. They have the wrong line listed on the site for my 66.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Having installed the TH350C on the 283 in my 62 C10 day or so ago - last night after some thought and scrounging for steel I went to work on a rear crossmember for the tail shaft mount.
I cut the original standard crossmember down and came up with this piece. Hope to put it in tonight... rg |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Went for a 3 hour round trip drive to go pick up some TJ springs for $10.
Sanded down my air cleaner that was going to be matched to the blue metallic paint on my engine. I had to change up my scheme for the valve covers and air cleaner since the masking job turned out to be a nightmare! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I got the rear end in, hooked up the shocks, put in the new track bar. I still need to put the driveline in, replace the rubber brake line, fill the diff and put all new brake stuff on. It's nice to have all new shiny parts on!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Back home. Took the 1962 out for a ride and updated my build thread. Got the hood back from paint, final bodywork no seams, just in time to get to show on Sat. Working on striping doors.

Cleaned for show, set ride height. Lil low, hit stops without the rear shocks.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Make this my first post-
Installed some 64 Cadillac Hub Caps on my new 64 Custom. If you know about Caddy caps you know this is not any easy task! LOL Used them as a cheap way to cover the rusty chrome mods it has on it! As you can see I also took off the All Terrains in favor of some passenger car tires. 3" whites coming soon! |

Nice truck!
Welcome to the board! I would have never thought hubcaps would work those rims. Steven

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Is it just me? Your truck looks like it is leaning significantly to the passenger side...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
The frame is level, but the cab is absolutely leaning, as I'm in the middle of replacing the floor pans, cab supports, door pillars, rocker panel, cab corner, etc on the driverside...it's all in my build thread.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
One headlight connector later I finally got all of the lights working as they should including the "Bright Lights" in the instrument panel. Now I have no issues with driving at night.
