Re: my 80 build

the fly wheel cover will require some trimming to fit, the passenger side ear on trans missions is real close and starter is close but I get some kind of heat wrap for the starter and the factory plug wires don't fit

Re: my 80 build

was going to start my engine today got it all hooked up and went to crank it and click click so I turned the engine over by hand and tried again click click so I checked the connection at the starter and ground cable on the solenoid was loose so I tightened it and the stud snapped out of the solenoid, so I'm going with a min starter

Re: my 80 build

its alive, it took me two days though first I had a new solenoid put on the starter, same thing the starter would engage but not turn the motor over, checked the battery it was putting out 12.8 volts, so had the starter tested at orielly auto parts, tested bad, so got a new rebuilt starter put it on same thing, so took the plugs out to see if the motor was hydro locked did the same thing, pulled the trans off to see if it was binding up look ok, then I thought I don't have a single ground on the engine so added one directly to the starter bolts to the block turned right over, then got the trans bolted back in turned right over so cranked it for a little bit to prime the oil system hooked up the ecm power primed the fuel pump and fired right up let it run for about 15 second and Idled right up but still need get a trans plug or tail shaft so I can get more the 6 qts of trans fluid with out it making a mess on the floor, put coolant in it, make power steering hoses, and hook up a oil pressure gauge
