Got mine in a few days ago from the July 4th special. Its beautiful!

I have never messed with fuel pluming though and I have a question.

Does anyone have a diagram of which bungs are to be used for what? Obviously the low outlet is going to be used for the flow, and I know one of the top bungs will be for return (EFI), but what about the other (center, near the pump wiring posts)?

if you purchased an EFI Tank. The center 3/8 NPT fitting on the EFI housing is your Fuel out. The bottom fitting is just a drain and the 3/8 on the same side but furthest from the cap is your return.

just a quick update:

for the last few months we have been back and forth with how to improve this product. Below is a list of a few changes that have been made that i believe helps the overall quality of this tank.

1) First thing we did was changed the way we formed the bottom of the tank. instead of using 90 degree punch we changed to a 1" radius. this will give the tank a much smoother finished look when installed. This will be on all 67-72 tanks. Pics Below (it was hard to capture in a picture)

2) We improved our EFI Pump Bracket Mainly just for fabrication purposes. not much of a noticable difference in the end product.

3) We improved our Gaskets for the EFI.

4) We improved our packaging and inspection processes.

5) The biggest change we made on this product is we are now building to inventory instead of building to order. This has drastically decreased the lead time on these tanks from 7-10 business days to 2 business days or less. Powdercoated tanks will still be 7-10 business days. There are still bugs in making this happen but we have been working very hard to reach these goals.

These few improvements have all been done and did not effect the overall price of the tank.

Has anyone tried to mount the tank to the underside of the top frame rail to gain ground clearance? What kind of a charge (if any) would there be to move the mounting brackets lower to allow the tank to sit up higher?

I mounted mine to the bottom of the frame as intended, and once I got my bed on (stepside with wood) there was only about an inch of clearance between the top of the filler neck and the floor of the bed. So the only thing i think would help in moving it up is to put some kind of flush fitting cap in the top of the tank.

You'd be ok then, except that the rear crossmember will be in the way. That one is pretty easy to relocate though, I be you could move it far enough back, or maybe use a Porterbuilt style instead.

I don't know much about senders, but what comes with the tank is supposed to work with the stock gauge. It's set up for a sender that bolts in with 5 bolts, so I don't think a stock sender will work.

Nice improvements on an already nice product. How about can you put a bigger vent in it. Mines spurts or burps gas up when filling from above bed 2 inch fill line. Think its trapped air burping it out some. Gonna try and put small tube down through fill to vent out. Thanks. Jim

How does the group buy work? I need one and a friend of mine is wanting one as well. I've got a few questions for the specs on the tank when it comes time to order, like tank fill locations, etc.

Can't fit a longer or wider tank in without removing a crossmemer, which braces the frame at your spring perches. You could fit a deeper or taller tank, but that would be a custom order anyways. There is a few inches to go up to the bed floor brace, but they would have to move the rollover vent, it sits right under a floor brace. If you got measurements, they could probably build you one that would fill in between between floor braces, but it would have to be custom. Good luck. Mine is a long bed, leaf spring C20 by the way.
