Re: Throwing in the towel!
Damn glad you stuck with it, man. If I would have gave up everytime I was broke or didn't have the time, well, I wouldn't have a bunch of cool junk layin' around that I don't have time to work on or can't afford to fix! By the way, the lakes pipes are too cool!

Re: Throwing in the towel!
Cool....I'm glad to see you stuck with it also. I love my big block Burb...I just need to do some work on it and start driving it a little more....even if it does cost a fortune for gas. Did that cross flow radiator fit without cutting the inner fenders? If so, do you know what the application is for it? Thanks

Re: Throwing in the towel!
Yah the radiator fit in the stock location and is doing a pretty descent job at cooling the motor. I still havent been in heavy traffic yet but Im sure it wont go past 210degrees. As for the application it came from I forget because I had 3 different radiators at the time I installed it....Im thinking it is the one from 67-72 truck though.

Re: Throwing in the towel!
That looks great.. nice job. I did notice that it's still got the original master cylinder, you got it to go like you wanted, consider putting some cash into the brakes so the bad boy will stop... Have fun with it looks good and I bet is sounds wild with straight lake pipes....

Re: Throwing in the towel!
Glad that you are pleased with the way the engine/trans installation turned out. It looks good in there and best of all it works. Appreciate your business and would be happy to work on your truck in the future if you need. Now, finish up some details and then enjoy it! Good Truckin'

Re: Throwing in the towel!
Thanks Jerry, definetly will be seeing more of me...you going to Goodguys down in Del Mar?
As for the truck yes, still tinkering to finish up some minor stuff but other than lowering and bodywork Im thinking brakes are more of a priority at this point. No need in having this power and nice motor and go plowing into the back of some expensive euro car! |
