Just a little fyi....That style of air cleaner will get as hard as a rock if it backfires with a lil flame involved. I had that happen. It took me a bit to figure out why it was runnin like ass.

no worries on the air cleaner. since the last time i posted on this thread i 've built a 400hp smallblock,cleaned up the T-5, did a crossmember swap and am in the process of installing the power steering and 'bags.

Cool thread. I could look at pictures of chevy 6's all
day long. V8's are nice but you can't beat a
"Big Ole Syxx", now can you. I am dying to yank my engine
and paint her up but I think I better stick to basics.
