Yes, on my current build. (pic is of my D60)
Having delt with death wobble @ speed, these made good sense to me. You can knock out D/W and get cross over steering in the same package. They also offer an even heavier duty arm set up too. |

Good thing just happened, another new pc for me. Got it hooked up to my high speed internet today, and am good to go. Ready to start wrenching as soon as I find a location for my build. Cold outside here!

Sure could use some more input on changing the steering over to this type of setup. Hydro or? Crossover/high steer? Leaning towards hydro system but want to keep it as simple as possible. Still looking at some kind of 4 wheel disc setup also. Help!

They hydro conversion is probably better off researched on pirate4x4, that is a little more hardcore wheeling tech than is found here, this site is geared more towards cruiser/show/daily driver stuff. I suggest you post up in there chevy section and weed out the jerks over there and Im sure you will find an answer to all your hydo questiions.
What are you needing to know more about for the disc swap?

This site 'does' offer most of what your looking for but ya gotta dig alittle for it, Pirate will tear you a new one if you log on and ask about basic steering option's without doing your own research. Id give west texas off road a call they should be able to hook you up with everything you need for crossover and hydro assist last time I checked they were still in business

I just learned the Howe Engineering has what's being considered to be a better 'on road usage' set up.
From what I read, it's said to respond better @ speed, while PSC is now being considered to be more of a trail only set up, plus they're (PSC) apparently having issue's with their pumps. Nice pic's Burt! That's what I'm talking about here! Decided I am going with hydro assist, crossover w/high steer. Just need to pick which company/companies to go with for components. That last pic of yours is a rock guard for the yoke on the 14 bolt right? Sweet! My plan for this setup is coming together finally, just need funding. Thank's a lot!

I originaly wanted my hydro assist up high in the back like that but my 4" lift & BBC said no way man so I had to put it out front. But it works great so no worries! Yup 14bolt yoke skid ~ I drag my rig accross alot of the trail so the more skids the better hahaha

Whe I first got my K5 it had the original 3finger pressure plate in it. Felt like a clutch on an old tractor hahaha
I then installed a Centerforce 2 cluth kit: http://www.centerforce.com/clutches....n=clutchtypes# Some say CForce is more for mucle cars and that the cintrifical weights fall off, but I never had an issue so? Wheeled this clutch until I pulled the 350 out. Never had any issues, I did "smell" it from time to time and when I pulled it I could see some heat color. But with all that friction I would expect some heat. When I shoehorned my 454 in I got a 30lb Hays Flywheel and 12" (11 7/8") LuK Pro Gold cluch kit: http://www.dialaclutch.com/progoldstorecont.htm I have about 4yrs on that now and so far zero issues and I have hit drags out on the dunes as hard as I could trying to beat my buddys truck(can't really shift a 465 that fast but I tried hehe)

It looks like Burt is running a Ford setup where as Kurt runs both the tie rod and cross over link to the arm on the knuckle.

I guess you could call it a Ford setup but I would rather compare it to the full size Jeep Wagons than a Ford

Awesome! Wondering about rear axle wrap, is there a big need for some kind of anti-wrap setup here? I don't think I'm going to have a lot of spring articulation, so don't want to make it worse with more hardware.

I know I have A-Wrap.
Research the snot outa adding one to my rig. Not much room up in there and my biggist roadblock is my dual exhaust being routed without this in mind. I could mount one directly above my driveline, like DIY4X's wraptor I think he calls it, backbone setup. I realy don't want to re-route my exhaust, it's a solid setup that does not move or wiggle...someday maybe.. I have found several examples and 'styles' of anti-wrap bars on the various fourms I visit. Search and you will seeeee When I put my 14FF in I welded the perches to point the pinion 2deg south or down (I have a CV drive line so the install should point the pinion straight at the xfercase yoke). So when I romp on my 454 the pinion is probly 2deg North instead of 4degNorth...you dig? This was my own idea and theroy so??? Musta drank alot of coffee this morning lookat at all thoes words
