Re: Stormy Montana and her 1969 GMC
Hey it is a nice truck, at least it's in one piece and drives under its own power. Mine is in pieces sitting in three different counties.
JITH usually holds a singing contest earlier in the week for up and coming singers and local bands. It will be my 11th year straight this Jambo.

Re: Stormy Montana and her 1969 GMC
We are witnessing stormy montana right now. Eastern Montana has quite the blizzard.
Stormy, this is the 1st time I have heard of you & am quite impressed. I beleive You will go as far as you want in the music industry. Great truck too, looks real good. As for trucks, mine is a 1968 GMC. I haven't been on this board since last summer when I finished the 68, here are some pics for those of you who haven't seen it before. Philip |

Re: Stormy Montana and her 1969 GMC
I was trying to turn around in the middle of the road. The guy shooting the video yelled for me to stop and I hit the gas instead of the brake. So, i jumped the ditch going backwards.

Really, it's on my birth certificate. It's my first and middle name. I've sung using that name since I was 9- long before Miley used it in the Disney show.

Re: Stormy Montana and her 1969 GMC
Practice would be a good idea, wouldn't it? Hahaha! I'm getting ready to shoot my next one and it's going to be in nashville at The Ryman. Got some folks real busy telling me I can sit in my truck but I won't be driving in the parking lot with all those limos and such. Can you imagine? Love to see'm sweat!

Re: Stormy Montana and her 1969 GMC
"there's a red thingie heading towards the green thingie.........i think we're the green thingie"
sorry.....but calling the window crank a "window thingie" reminded me of my favorite line from Galaxy Quest. i started out knowing absolute zip about cars like everyone else in the world, but i have spent the last 10+ years (just turned 30) researching stuff for my many vehicle projects like cars are going out of style. i save a lot of money by doing work myself and then end the day with the satisfaction of having done it myself and knowing it was done right. i can spend the money on higher quality parts, fluids or on the next upgrade. but there have been and still are a lot of bloody knuckles and curses when you are dealing with stubborn old parts. first off....get LOTS of practice driving...that is key. when i got my learner's permit, i was always driving when we went out 'cause my parents wanted me to get as much practice as possible while they were around. i also like to back in most of the places i go and it helps keep my skills sharp. i also have lots of practice towing trailers (trucks are good for that) and i enjoy hitching up and taking a rig on the road. towing REALLY taxes your skills and requires all your attention and lots of patience because it is soo easy for something to get screwd up. eventually you will have a matching box trailer behind your truck to haul all your music "thingies" and your brand name/sig will be on the side. it would be different from all those celebrities that get chauffeured around in million dollar motor homes. if you ever make it to an event in new england, give me a heads up. it's tough to take long trips when you are a working man. a few more years on the job and more vacation time earned....then i will start going to car and motorcycle shows outside the northeast. road trips are lots of fun! |

Re: Stormy Montana and her 1969 GMC
First chance I had to read this one but I gotta respond to a new GMC owner!
I dig the song and your truck! My daughter loves singing too altho she has issues with country, opposite of Dad. She definitely isn't outgoing enough to pursue it for more than just fun. Get us some more pics of the truck! Quote:

Re: Stormy Montana and her 1969 GMC
So sorry! We got covered up filming the second video, things are finally looking up, career wise. I tried to post on here right after I did that video because I had truck trouble while shooting it. It kept vapor locking because a fuel line was too close to the motor, I think. Anyway, it's good to know I've been missed and I'll try and do better, promise!
Love, -Stormy |
