Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
Well, I got the seats back this week, it has been a journey. I wanted to keep the utility buckets but mine needed recovering. There are no aftermarket seat covers for the utilitys so I started looking and found some material from SMS in Oregon that was the p[lain jane looking stuff. It looked amazing for being as old as it was. So I got that, took it to an amazing upholstery girl here in town and she cut my old ones up, which were in great shape but worn after 40 years. And here is the unveil! I replaced the old wall to wall rubber mat with black carpet. I could not get a good stock replacement mat or I would have done that. I have been working for the last few days for this moment! I have got to finish the top and exhaust, few tweeks to the engine and Drive! The steering wheel is a refurbish I did with filling a couple of cracks and repainting since I could not find a sandalwood colored one. Here is your pix fix!

I have to admit - that looks AWESOME - was the fabric and the work pricey [if you want to share]?

Was pricey, Fabric $500 and work for $540. But that was about what I saw the going rates for really new looking stuff here so I think I am not that far off. Does that sound pricey to you?

Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
More pics as requested. I put on the top and tried to work the weatherstrip issues out which seem to be a few. I am going to have to trim some, add some and I will probably have torrential downpours inside the cab. Did all you guys have these kinds of weatherstrip issues and reissues when you installed? As you can see the windows are not in, ran out of time.

Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
I was wondering if your blazer has a lift kit on it?

Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
No lift kit, totally stock suspension. Tires are tall, 33 inches and makes it look tall. It was a little awkward to crawl in and out of before and now it seems to be more so. You blazer owners know what I mean!

Bigdon - that thing is beautiful. Could you share any info on how you restored your roof? Thanks.

Re: Getting closer, You have got to check the new seats!
I have a few questions, what is the color of the wheels, it's not just a regular white is it? And did you use aftermarket trim?
