12/2/11 - Muffler installed with short turn down. Sounds wicked.
12/9/11 - Oil Filter Adapter housing resealed and oil/filter changed(NAPA Gold/NAPA 10W30). Now I dont leak a puddle when I idle. And fuel filter changed(NAPA Gold). I found out that NAPA oil is Valvoline  . $4 cheaper per quart!

For your stuck plug use pb blaster let sit for a night then get engine up to operating temp and should come right out.

Update! Two weeks ago the truck started leaking oil like a waterfall. So I brought it to my mechanic and he said I need the gasket/o-ring kit for my oil filter adapter(for the oil cooler lines). So I bought it, got it installed. A week later it's leaking again. Long story short, the oil filter adapter was cracked so now Im just running the filter without the adapter. Truck runs fine.
I replaced all 4 belts yesterday and the PITA power steering pump/crank belt is a little loose, squeals when it's cold. My serp belt was split down the middle. No more whistling or whining now. Much quieter. I also installed my new tailgate cables that Ive had for a month. Yay!

1987-1991 squarebodies went from C/K to R/V. It's got a 350, but instead of K10 its a V10.

I also forgot, I got new Bosch Winter Blades on. It'll be about ten years before I need to wipers. I love these things.

I'm going to buy a DIY4X clocking ring for my NP208 soon. It hangs WAY too low. It hangs lower than my dads.
It was pouring buckets yesterday so I went down a trail for the town water dept. It was very slippy slidey. I went back today and saw I was going through 2"-10" mud/wet leaves. As long as I kept up my speed I was fine. No 4wd needed.

Took my roof rack and spoiler off today. Then filled the holes with silicone white caulk. Just temporarily until I have the money for a body shop to weld the holes up. The truck looks bald!

Drove to Wilmington New Years Eve to see my Aunt. 250mi round trip. Not a single hiccup. The SES light came on for 5 minutes like it does about once every two weeks. Still dont know why. I took US421 instead of I40 so I didn't have to do 75mph. Because when I go that fast everything vibrates. My next purchase is tierods and get the tires rotated to see if the vibration follows a certain tire.

I got a fixed column installed to fix the wobbly tilt column for good.
Today I put a bottle of Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas tank. I used WD40 on the #6 plug and it finally came out and I put the correctly gapped ACDelco plug in. The truck definitely runs smoother. I cleaned and painted my air cleaner top and wing nut, will do the bottom next week in black. I also painted the body line below the grille black because it was blue with white overspray. Same with the bottom of the front of the fenders. Looks SO much better. Next is plug wires, cap, rotor, and coil.

Some more.
I also taped off the wheel well trim so it wouldn't look tacky. I got my jack and measuring tape and measured the lift I want in the rear to make the truck level the way I like it. I need 2 inches. Not sure how I'll do it. Blocks, new springs, shackle flip, not sure... While the jack was out I jacked the whole front end up to track down a weird thud whenever I hit a bump, I thought it was a bj. Yup! Drivers side wheel wiggles top and bottom about 1/32"-1/16".

Replaced all 4 headlights with Sylvania XtraVision. Amazing difference!
Finally got my front bumper planned out! Also probably gonna do a 5.3, it just makes sense. It'll be a while though! :P

Changed my oil yesterday. 5 quarts of NAPA 10W-30 and a NAPA Gold filter. As always. (5W in the winter)
I picked up my rubber brake lines and got the truck jacked up on stands. I was gonna bleed the whole system too. But one of the bleeder screws on the calipers is broken. So to be on the safe side and to just do it while its apart. I ordered new calipers($19 EACH! ) and new wheel cylinders too. So it looks like I'll have new brake lines, brake fluid, calipers, and wheel cylinders. The front pads are almost new so no need to replace them.Well, while I was under the truck I scooted to the rear and changed the diff oil. 2.1 quarts of Valvoline Full Synthetic 75W-90 W/ Limited slip and a LubeLocker gasket. Good God was there a lot of RTV on it. Took 25 minutes to clean the cover and housing of just the RTV. I'll never need RTV again!

Been doing trail rides a LOT lately. 2-5 times a week. Just driving power lines and abandoned development projects, subdivisions etc. Some hardcore stuff too. One place is apparently call "Red Dirt Road" because it's all red clay. I drove 3 miles back on it, only about 1/2 mile of road type. Needless to say I almost flipped a few times from the pitches, got the front wheels off the ground, fully flexed a LOT. Dragged the t-case skidplate a million times. I've hit my hitch even more times. Lots of fun! Unlike most guys, I try to stay out of the mud. Too much cleanup and risk of getting stuck far from home or finding something in the mud, or breaking stuff. Plus it helps you lose traction.
I ordered skyjacker H7058's for the front this morning. Next is steering box brace, then NP208 clocking ring, then rear bumper/hitch/tank skidplate combo. EDIT: I have yet to put her in 4wd. All done in a stock suburban on 31's in 2WD! Many of the trails are ATV trails too. Nobody around here will even take their modded jeeps or yota's into the places my burb has been. Long Live The Polar Bear!

Going to look at a set of axles Tuesday 7/24. 3/4 ton set. As far as I know it's 4:10 14BSF 9.5 and a 10 bolt front. $250 for the set. I'll grab the set of 16" wheels too while I'm there.

Get the u-bolts and spring plate's as well since they are different for the 14 bolt.

Got my shocks about 20 minutes ago. Some dish soap and the bushings are all in. VERY happy they are poly instead of rubber. I wont be using the boots because; I dont like the look, they hold dirt, and when bottomed out they get all jumbled up. Going to go pick up some new grade 8 bolts at NAPA and put them in this afternoon after seeing the axles.

So, being lazy I havent updated. I cant use the shocks. The rear shocks have a 5/8" top mount and the fronts have 1/2". I ordered front not knowing. Ugh.
