The one I'm working on now. 65 shortie, stepside, I6 w/3 on the tree. My great-grandfather bought it new in late 64. Several years later he got into money trouble, so my grandfather (his son-in-law) bought it, not sure what year. My dad bought it in 1992 and we putted it around for 10 yrs. I took possession of it in 2003 and finally bought it in 2006.

1988 chevy Cheyenne 2wd v6 3spd auto. this was back in '96 and by then cheyennes were base model. It was underpowered but I still had good times cruising around with it as a teenager. I wanted a 4x4 in that body style (88-99) so bad but they were way out of my price range. I had to settle for this higher miles stripped down 2x4 v6 and replace a cab corner but other than that it was a good looking clean truck, never used for work. I kinda miss it but not like the 70K20 we had when I was a kid.

In 1986 I bought a 71 long bed.

In 1980 I bought a 60 Chevy 1/2 ton. Cost me 250$. I was 19. I was inexperinced at working on them and tried to replace the ball joints in it. To get more room under it I used a bumper jack to get it higher, when I heard the jack hit the wall and the truck fell. Luckly I still had the jack stands still under it because I wouldn't be walking today!

The first truck I bought was a Tootsietoy pickup for 39 cents. I saved up my money and my second one was a Tonka Toy pickup for 10x as much. By then I had a good job scoopin' horse poop from stalls.
