Daniel may still have my old Moroso springs, if someone else has not needed them yet. You are familiar with my truck, so they may work in DJ's truck. Definately helped transfer weight. Paul

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc

I have a set of #250 Santhuff (Landrum) springs 18" I tryed on my truck a few months back that didn't work for mine. I cut 3/4 coil off just to get them in the truck and they are 16 1/2" long. Ride height was to low for me with the dropped spindle. Front end weight is 2,100 - 2,200 and was about an inch off the bump stops. If anyone could use them let me know.

I will call him in a few. I feel sure if he still has them, it will just cost you shipping to try them out. If they don't work out, I just requested he be willing to pass them on to the next guy that might need them. Paul

No problem, I look forward to installing them over the winter. I am going to try and run the 5.30 index class in my truck next year. I want to put it on some of the tube chassis, big tire, wheelie bar riding crowd. lol The truck leaves so docile now, even when it went 1.24 60' last fall. If i can get 1.21 or better to 60', I can get to 5.30. Your brackets will give me some adjustability. Have you had your truck out again? Paul

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc

68 C10 KID (Mike) may have a set of 47140 Morosso springs.

I also have a couple sets of springs, but not 100% sure on their spring rate. When I get home I will see if I have a way to test them. But I think they are going to be in the 175-190lb rate.

No problem Daniel, I meant to call you. I got busy doing a surprise drop in on my painter, just to find out that he has not done anything else since I left 3 weeks ago. Paint shops tend to have a habit of starting, and either not finishing, or taking forever to finish. Some people are just not motivated to make good money for their time. Off my rant for paint now. lol

Daniel, you did with them, exactly what I would have wanted you to do, so all's cool!! Paul

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc

It has the moroso trick spring 47170 under it now with one complete coil cut off of it. The ride height it close but you still cannot put two people in the cab or it sets to low. I think I am going to get another set and cut a half coil off and try that. Thanks for all the help you guys are the bomb!

Looks good!! The anti-roll bar looks similar to what I'm running. Where did you come up with the trailing arm crossmember? Looks very nice!!

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc

What did you have to do to put the crossmember in? Such as getting it off the ground and supporting rear end. I posted a pic of my truck in the picture section. Love the site. Great info. I am having traction issues myself. Thanx

So just curious, what ET/MPH are you expecting from the 2 stages?

The crossmember is just a direct bolt in application. I just put it up on a two post lift and went to town nothing major at all.

I have no clue it ran 7.0/95.95mph on motor, foot brake and not staying planted. What you think, I am going to start with 250hp on the first kit out the hole then start progressing from there. I feel like it should run some high 5's low 6's on everything if the truck will hold it.

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc

For the first time out, the 60' is pretty good. I think if you can get the 250 hit to work out of the hole, you have a high 5 in it.

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc

Ordered a new set of 47170 and cut 1/2 coil off instead of 1 full coil. It seems to be alot better we will see after a few days.
