Awesome work fellas!!

If you'll give me just a little bit of time, I've got a set of custom wheels and new tires for you. I will be converting over to 5-lug on my '64 and you're welcome to the wheels/tires off of my truck when I'm ready to do the swap.

Re: Whats up with Logan...

Logan's first Car Audio purchase... But first he learned about quality vs quantity....The Tube Amp was part of a $65000 sound system...Yes he heard the difference and so purchasing a pair of Kenwood door speakers for his truck was easier... That's my boy....

Re: Whats up with Logan...

I am new to this forum and as a almost 50 year old, I found my eyes filling up by page 2 of this thread at the generosity and spirit of this forums members.

My wife Nicola and I are looking at buying an early 60's Chevy too, so I am learning every day.

Years ago I started a collection for a friend whose BMW R1100GS motorbike had been written off in Poland by a drunk driver, my friend was under insured and a student and would never have been able to replace his bike.
He is an amazing photographer and used to share all his knowledge on the forums.

As a communal effort we collected enough for a better used bike than the one he had, which he went to buy in Germany. The most any one single person donated into the kitty was about $15.00

Logan, I am over in London, England but I wish I could do more from here for you.

You and your dad are inspirational.

Thanks for sharing your progress.

I trust more people will want a share in your truck as they find out about your build.

Re: Logan's 66 Build...With dad....With surprise video...

Welcome to Texas and the forum. I know that its been a while, but I just found your thread....

My Mom & Dad have a place just down the road from you. They are on HWY 290 east of Fredericksburg. Me and my boys where just down there a few weeks ago. What has happend on this build lately....Have your been to the wrecking yard in Stonewall? Last time I was in there they had a bunch of mid 60's trucks....

Anyway, I always enjoy Fatehr/Son projects....

Re: Whats up with Logan...

Haven't posted much on this site, but, I am a regular over on the HAMB and a thread was started showing this post this morning. I too found "I had something in my eye" while reading this. This is what hot rodding is all about.

I'm the proud owner of a '64 C10 that I recently pulled from a field, and got going well enough to carry me, and all of my stuff 1500 miles from Washington to Arizona. I am happy to see others interested in this often overlooked generation of pickups.

Good work Logan. I can see from the photos your dedication. Keep that spirit, it will take you far in life.

Keep posting lists of what the truck needs, and I'll keep an eye out for parts here in the Phoenix area.

Keep after it Logan! One thing, every day. No matter how small. Even if it's cleaning the shop and getting organized. Great to see a kid working for what he wants. Git 'er done, Logan!

Re: Whats up with Logan...

This is so awesome, takes me back to being 12! My dad bought a brand spankin new 1992 silverado and I pestered him and beat him with magazines until he lowered it, color-matched, roll pan, etc. (all the cool stuff then).

Keep it up Logan, a man's gotta have a hobby and you picked the best one!

I should hope he becomes famous.

I posted that thread on various car forums around the world on which I am active.

I want people to know there is hope for us all.

If you look at the views on this thread it is near 7000 now, so a lot of people are getting the Logan message.

Re: Whats up with Logan...

Have y'all seen this? This is right after we brought the truck home...It sat in a field with the hood up and no radiator cap for 15 years....We added some gas, threw in a battery and she fired right up...As it ran I started adding some water and this is what happened...

Re: Whats up with Logan...

Haha, I had a similar thing happen to me. I bought a 3spd OD trans off craigslist but I had to help pull it. No problem, right? I get to the place and it is a huge ranch and the truck is sitting out in a field. It was just a cab, frame, and drivetrain so at least everything was easy to get too. We pull the inspection plate off the tranny and the guy yells at me to drop it. There is a big rat snake half in the plate and half up in the flywheel. After some poking and irritation we convince the snake to find somewhere else to live. Due to the grass and snake incident we decide to just pull the motor and tranny together and separate them back and the barn. When we separate the motor and tranny I hear the guy again, get back! The was another big rat snake coiled up between the block and flywheel.

I've had run-ins with mice, rats, and even a possum once while messing with old cars, but this was my first (and second) snake encounter. I think I'll stick with mice. I probably would have screamed like a little girl when that snake popped it's head out of the radiator, haha.

BTW, i say let the engine warm up. He'll get the hint sooner or later.
