The bead roller is just a harbor freight unit. I added some stiffeners to it to help with heavier gauge material.

Re: Company Trucks

Just read another thread about the HF bead roller, on another board.

Poor quality I assume? They mentioned needing to beef up the design.

69CST-V, You can not complain for the cost on it. I have read that you just have to brace them up some. Great job.

Re: Company Trucks

nice work so far, but i think your cheating with the overhead crane
you'd think the patch panels would fit better, i had to work every piece some what.
some times i'd ask my self, ''what were they thinking?"

i've used and modified the hf bead rollers too, yours is lacking a motor...
how do you like that throatless shear? where did you get that?

I'd like to see how you did the motor option. The shear is from Eastwood and it works well. I had to do some work adjusting it but once that was done it makes quick work of trimming and rough cut work.

Re: Company Trucks

Well I got a little shop time today. Started working on getting the sub floor mocked up. I'm missing one rear cab mount bracket to be able to weld the skin to it.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing Jim.
This is the first time I've seen your build. Your definitely not afraid to dig in and do it right. I can appreciate how much work it takes to do the work right no matter how many times you might have to refine your repairs. It takes a little longer but it sure feels great at the end of the day to know you have some solid repairs. Awesome work.

Re: Company Trucks

Thanks Scott. I've spent most of the first half of this year out of the country. I returned in late April bought a new house and am in the middle of redoing the shop. Can't wait to back to work on these. I have lots of updates just need time to transfer them on to the site.

Re: Company Trucks

About half done with the inside. Need to re-work the truss's to get an elevated clear span for the jib crane and lift. Some before and after pic's to where I'm at as of today.
