If I am not mistaken, that's off a dodge... judging from the brackets.

Why not just cut off the brackets and weld on chevy ones?

That is a seriously nice looking step.

I have one on my 66 C20 but am currently in Denver so can't get a pic. The wraparound was cut off on mine though. I have it off the truck right now and took hours cleaning off all the old paint, straightening it and it is in primer right now. Most I see are painted silver, but I am REALLY wanting to paint it high gloss white with a rattle can for right now. Any opinions on this? I will post pics in a few weeks when I am home again.

Mine is going to be white. I saw new ones in the 70s that were white so I don't see an issue.

BTW, my wrap arounds are cut off as well.

Just a question for anyone who may know, Im looking at a rear Barden step bumper that wraps around to the rear stepside fenders. It came off of a 59 chevy stepside and I was wondering if the 59 stepside truck beds and fenders were the same shape and measurements as ours. Id like to try to make this bumper work on my truck. Im not worried about the frame brackets, just the bed outline and how the bumper may mate up to my bed / fenders? Any input is greatly appericiated! Thanks, Chris

Thanks. I'm guessing the reason for the three balls would be different trailers, I plan to leave them on there for aesthetics and paint the bumper white. The plate will end up on the garage wall with the rest of the collection, gotta make room for the original 64 plate on there.

Gotcha......

I have recently decided to start "specializing" in what I collect, going for Disabled, Veteran, special interest like National Guard plates.

Current status of my plates.



Then I took some of the plates that did not "fit" off the rafters



Followed by a significant change, including removal of all the metal signs.
They will be refitted later when I have revised the current layout of the garage interior.
This includes removing the up and over single door, and boarding up that side and fitting a large hardwood door, or a door and a half if I can find one.

After a few hours I was happy.

And looking from the other side.



I have some more room to fit some of my traded plates, and will look out for some special ones in the mean time to add.



Got these stunners on their way, and have a load of English and South African plates on their way to Texas

Nice find. Is that "flip down chingadera" just an addition step? With the 2 holes, is there enough clearance to have one size ball on one side and another size on the other?

It could be the flip-down thingy folds in allowing the tailgate to hang straight down. I'm not 100% sure about clearing those pivots, but most bumpers configured like yours are designed for that purpose.

I have no idea what its for but someone had an idea for it. I do think that the pivots would hit the tailgate though. I just really like the way that the lights are set and having reverse lights is a bonus! Im going to have a little fab work to do so that the step meets the fenders. It came off of a short bed and looks like the fenders were farther back than a lb. I like it though!

Here's mine, Truck came from Ramsey Chevrolet in bixby Oklahoma. Never seen a bumper that wraps around on the corners???? I'll try to post some more pics this weekend.

OK, here's mine. Mounted my freshly painted rear bumper and then removed it to trim a little more off. I had trimmed it before but realized when I put it back on that the trim job I did was based on it being slightly bent. When I straightened it out, it needed a shade more trimming.
Hard to read the dealer, but it is Sandlin Motors in Mount Pleasant, TX. I like it being white. Next up is rear frame painting and bed wood and wiring cleanup or probably new wiring harness. The fun never ends.
