Re: Monticello

Love Monticello and everything you have done to it thus far but I own a 64 so I am partial to the 60-66s. So on that note, any other pictures of the custom cab in the background???

I am a big fan of the 60-66 myself. It's just tough to find one clean enough to build. I attached the only picture of it that I had on my phone. Some more Porterbuilt parts came in today so I should be making some more progress on it soon.

It's a '62 actually, on a '64 frame. Not thread yet, I'll get one going soon.

Re: Monticello

Ahh, tricky. I just figured it was a 63 due to the porterbuilt rear components. Now I see the grille looks great regardless. Ok back to monticello. Sorry to have jack the thread, I just couldn't resist.

Re: Monticello

With the holidays I have not had much time to work on the truck unfortunately. I did get some progress completed in the '68 and '62 though. I also put a chassis together for a '65 in between everything. I did get started on smoothing out the coil pack covers for my LS though.

The other chassis I have been working on.

Re: Monticello

Working on getting the exhaust built and I am going to do a tubular inner frame structure to tie the rear frame section into the front. I am waiting on a crossmember from Porterbuilt and I will get that started. Porterbuilt hooked me up with new motor mounts so I was able to bring it down about 1" from where it was with the original LS mounts. Got my front Wilwoods and brake performance rotors bolted up. I need to install my Billet specialties tru trac and get my motor put together. I am working with Travis at Properformance to get a Boyd Welding fuel cell for the 73-87 chassis and the tank should show up any day now.

This will be daily driven so I will definitely take that into consideration. Thanks

I am thinking that I want to do something different. They look good on static dropped 73-87 but idk about laying frame with them. We'll see
