Probably just a different bracket design or something. Did you have to drill holes? Mine was zero drilling but I had to get two rivets out.

I feel your pain. When we did the rear install, the bump stop and shock mount brackets with factory rivets were lots of fun. Shock mounts were the worst cause my exhaust didn't allow for a straight shot with a drill, so we ground them down and punched them out. Slivers of shavings in my longsleeve shirt felt real nice.
