Yes, got her running this last weekend. Ran it for another 10 min and she got to around 210, but nothing serious. I put a box fan on the grill with a makeshift cardboard fan shroud. She broke in nicely. I've got maybe 50 miles on it so far and no issues. Thanks for asking.

those spring style thermostats will open late and during normal operation close unexpectley.
a Thomas shaw style fixed my overheating problem. 20 bucks or so. sorry for your hustrasions with your motor. larry |

Since I've been driving it, my motor hasn't gotten over 200 degrees. Mind you its cold here in Kansas.

Like several guys have mentioned. A new engine will run quit a bit hotter during break in. By reading your post it looks to be doing a lot better. Hope it stays in the cooler range for you.
