My engine and tranny is also an E rod package, purchased in 2014, and you can see the difference in how far that little drive motor thing sticks out the passenger side of the intake. I bought the package from Pace Performance, and they were the ones who came up with the bracket package. |

Re: Accessory drive brakcets with L99 water pump
Pretty sure that's a Corvette set up, so the belt spacing will be different than a truck engine, but if you're buying all the brackets anyway, a new balancer wouldn't be that much more.

Re: Accessory drive brakcets with L99 water pump
Dirty D brackets A/C brackets and the stock truck alt. P/S bracket installed on my 78 with a 2003 5.3
the stock Alt bracket tucks that side in very close to the engine

Re: Accessory drive brakcets with L99 water pump
I decided to go with the corvette brackets and FEAD setup... However I notcied it's got a different pump then the l99 and the truck water pump. So I'm assuming the truck harmonic balancer and the truck water pump won't line up with the corvette acessories correct? Is there any way to use the truck balancer and an l99 water pump?

Re: Accessory drive brakcets with L99 water pump
Corvettes are the tightest to the block where as the trucks are the farthest away. If you're going to buy the vette accessories, and you're going to have to buy an L99 pump anyway, why not just buy a Vette pump and balancer? Otherwise you would have to space all the accessories out enough to match up with the truck belt spacing, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Re: Accessory drive brakcets with L99 water pump
I switched my 5.3 to corvette spacing. I got the Holley bracket and just ordered a new corvette crank pulley from GMpartsdirect. It wasn't vey expencive and it was nice and new.

Re: Accessory drive brakcets with L99 water pump
Well to use the upper drivers side radiator hose style water pump (2010 camaro) I'm left with two choices, either run Holley's 20-135 FEAD bracket kit along with 21-3 (21-3 comes with the spacer for both the alternator bracket and the AC, I don't need the AC spacer, but can't find a lot that is just the alternator spacer alone) which together come out to around $250, and then I'll need the corvette type 2 style power steering pump, PS pulley, reservoir and reservoir bracket as well as the alternator which ideoending on where you go for parts and prices could be another 300-400 bucks. Then there's Dirty Dingos kit which has the FEAD bracket for the power steering pump and alternator, it uses the type 1 truck style power steering pump so I won't have to buy that, but ill still need an alternator as I didn't get one with my motor, and there kit is $250... Dirty dingo is cheaper yet I like the smaller PS pump and there style bracket a little bit more... Decisions decisions.
