Sorry for the lack of post s lately to all those who ve been following the thread. I ve been doing mostly less than glamourous stuff like painting and wiring and working overtime to pay for all these headaches. But i m determined to get this project done. So with most of the wiring done for the ecu and compressors i started on the accuair level sensors. My mechanic buddy came over and helped me with the fronts. To be honest, i really think this is a 2 person job and it s not that easy if you ve never done it before. But the gods smiled on us and we nailed the bastards perfectly. Here s some pics but it s tough to really get a good picture. But yes they do both clear and travel perfectly within the 100 degree arc that s recommended. Got some more paint this weekend then doing the rear sensors next week.

Ok so this week has actually been a productive one. My boss came over who used to work as a fabricator/body guy and we fabricated the rear sensor mounts. Also my buddy who does paint wanted a harage in a box that i wasn t using so i said i d trade him to sprey my firewall. Well he decided to do a little more than just the firewall. Not gonna complain. Came out good and i don t think i ll have to worry bout rust for a while.

Sorry folks been away a few weeks. got a piece of metal in my eye while grinding and it slowed up my progress. i know...safety glasses. wear em all the time when using anything i think might fly back or break on me. it was a miserable experience. basically just trying to wrap up small things before my buddy takes the truck and paints it. got the brakelines on and worked on the airlines.

Be careful with your eyes! I had a piece of metal drilled out of my eye a few weeks ago. I was wearing safety glasses and it slipped by the side. Not fun!

Ya know nds I think you might just be right about that now that I look at it. no big deal though cuz that bar is comin back off anyway to get the new rear diff cover on it. I need to find out the gear ratio on the truck so I thought I d beef up that cover while I m at it. Sorry Brooks I didn t know who sent me that request but i ll accept it. You gotta scroll down a bit to find the video. In the meantime here s some pics of the fresh painted tins I just got back from my buddy. Finally got around to getting them painted and that bike has been done for a few years now. I think you guys will like the art on the seat too. I thought it was *****en. The girl who did it really nailed what I wanted on it.

Got the new rear lowering blocks in a few days ago. They take the rear down another inch. While i was at it i got around to torqueing all the hardware down too. I lime the new stance better. You can see the top of the pumpkin is just about flush with the top shock bar mount.

Wow, looks good. Glad to see you're still at it. This is very inspiring. I'm looking at going with a Porterbuilt rear setup and get away from my leafsprings. I'm anxious to see how low it looks in the back with the bed on. Keep up the good work.
