Re: Patina paint jobs
Every time I read this title, "Patina Paint Jobs", I think, "What an oxymoron". Patina means needs a paint job in my mind. It was a paint job, then became patina until it gets painted again. And when or not is up to the owner. Faux patina is exactly what it says, with the emphasis on "faux". You really need to say all three words "faux patina paint" because it's not patina, it's a paint job.

Re: Patina paint jobs
This is the far bound of patina. When I finish my other truck i plan to add doors and enjoy this until my son wants something to play with.

Re: Patina paint jobs
New patina paint job? IMO it’s not patina then and is more work and cost than an immaculate new paint job. I’m not one to say what others should so each to there own

Re: Patina paint jobs
Truck looks great! I want to add some type of logo or sign to mine but trying to get the nerve to put it on there. Or find someone. My penmanship is pretty bad, not sure what my sign paint would look like.

Re: Patina paint jobs
Yes, that is great! I would also like some fake patina lettering on my real rusty truck. But I have upper and lower trim, so I don't know that it would look right.

Re: Patina paint jobs
I agree with what others have said about patina not going out of style. It's almost kind of become it's own type of genre. You see it on everything from lowriders to brand new bmw drift cars!I personally like patina but I don't like seeing shiney paint over crappy body work.If someone wants to cruise around in a classic with shiny paint over shoddy body work so be it.It's their car.Brakes and a solid suspension is what matters the most.

Re: Patina paint jobs
Fake patina is just that, it’s fake. And it’s not hard to tell the difference, I see a lot of trucks around me that would be bad ass except they have a terrible fake patina paint on them. It just makes me think the rest of the truck was built just as lazy and cheap as the attempt on the paint.

Re: Patina paint jobs
Patina is patina, and a paint job is a paint job.
Here's my Longhorn's patina.
