While a 14" wide wheel can be made to work on a stock width housing, I'm betting you're going to want a narrowed housing. That wheel & tire size is about the 'look'. To achieve it, you'll want the hub deeper within the barrel/rim. To get that means a narrower housing vs a OE truck set-up.

What year & body style?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

This is on a '65 SWB fleet. On a stock rear end and approximately 9" backspace...just throwing numbers out there...you don't think a 5" lip would look alright? You're just implying that, aesthetically, it would look better on a narrowed rear with more lip?

Correct. A 20" diameter 14" wide wheel w/9" of back-spacing will not have the same appeal as one w/7"BS.

Lowered truck? If so how much?

I see what you're saying. Truck will be on bags with a c-notch. I don't have pictures to base this on, but I think I would be ok if the wheel only had a 5" lip. I don't mind the big lips a lot of people are running but I would like to have a more "classic/timeless" look on my truck.

If you prefer the deep back-space vs. the deep front lip, you can make a 14" wheel fit on an un-narrowed 63-69 housing. I did 15x14 w/9.5"BS under a 67SWB bed w/a un-cut 12-bolt housing. I got it all set-up but didn't care for the look when it was all said & done (this was w/an xtra deep c-notch, widened tubs, & raised floor). On that note, all the extra wheel & tire beyond what is typically used for the "classic/timeless" appearance is extra weight & will make service work on the rear a PITA.

The 63-66 bed insides are different vs 67-72's so it's going to depend on how much cutting-up you're going to do to 99% dial in your BS needs but your proposed number is in the ballpark.

Adding disc brakes can impact your track width as well so you need to verify the rear end dimensions w/the brakes you plan to use or pad your needs enough to cover the possible 'what ifs' (wider/narrower).

I had that same combination, the previous owner has trimmed the inner edge on the wheel well, extremely close , but worked…..

The picture is not the best , however that’s the combination..

Missed your backspace at 3”, mine are 4” backspace, which actually all four wheels are off and for sale

Re: Will 15" x 10" wide rim with 4" backspace fit with stock rear?

I should have been more clear I guess...what I mean by classic/timeless look is that the wheels im looking at give a nod towards the 60s era with a more modern look when it comes to the size of them. Im fine with having to tub the wheel tubs and trim the wood floor as needed...other than that I don't want to have to trim anything else. So, you think I'd be ok with buying my brakes for the 12 bolt and going that route? I'd hate to buy brakes for my 12 bolt and then wheels/ tires won't fit and then I need to go with a narrowed 9" rear.

You asked 'can they fit?'.... They can. Do you have access to any 15x8 stock Ralleys?
