Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Picked up this 68 C10 from Fairplay. Snapped this pic at Wilkerson pass 9500ft above sea level.

Re: the 67-72 artistic shots thread

Another fun trick is to put a flashlight on the seat pointed up, it gives a unique glow from the interior. I like your idea of putting the light on a stick to get some height.

I just picked up a similar light at Lowes. I'll use a pole also and some cardboard for a "barn door". I can't wait to use it.

Here is a shot from the first night when we were using the theater/stage light. I used a transparent Christmas dish that was green for the green tint. Just taped it over the end of the theater light. The red comes from me laying in the truck bed and bouncing the theater light off a orange home depot 5gal bucket that was in the bed. My brother then took the shot. There are about 20 shots in this one pic. Photoshop, mask, lighten blend mode. I'm going to start getting real lights and gels soon. Between the first night and the second night, I washed the truck. Photo in post 728 is second night(clean truck), photo below is first night(dirty truck)

Thanks Yooper, Any tips you have I would be happy to hear. I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I really like the interesting effect of having multiple light sources and directions in one pic. I actually do have the interior lit in both pics. But not with a flashlight. I'll try that next as I just got a new flashlight. Below are the pics from each night of just the cab lit. The top one is clean windows with a 48" florescent shop light on the seat and the bottom one is dirty windows with the theater light on the cab floor pointed up. I'm going to try the flashlight and the led light next time.

Took this the other day. Thought the pics came out pretty good for a cell phone camera. Would only let me load one of the pics.

Re: the 67-72 artistic shots thread

Yep..... you got the idea. The light painting I have done have been cars out in fields. For my light painting on the outside of the vehicle I use a big maglite flashlight so I can adjust the focus of the beam wider which makes it dimmer to keep it from over exposing... of course it still happens.

Those are great shots. How did you get the blue/purple highlights around the upper windshield frame.(1st pic) Was that a camera setting, the bulb on the flashlight, done in post or other? Really a awesome picture. Thanks for posting that!

Re: the 67-72 artistic shots thread

I tweaked the picture using the HDR-ish setting on Picasa Photo Editor. That setting puts a bit of a glow around edges.

Taken with iPhone, some editing to bring out the truck, low light hides the blemishes. I'm known for sunset and car photos on another site.
