Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
then we have my dads 88 he had me do some work on, we just dropped in a crate 350 with 7xxx miles on it and the work ive done is accent the dash with a perlecent paint (tried talking him to a white to go with the truck but he picked that) after market stereo ( mind the panasonic in there right now audio guys were getting ready to sell it and didnt want to let one of my best radios go with it) and i did the 91 gauge cluster swap plus all the extras, tool box bed rails bug guard hood scoops and visor. when we picked it up it was a plain jane truck

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Here's mine. Nothing fancy. Only mods done was the install of the 6.0 LS engine last year. Runs better than it ever did with the old 350.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Oh yeah, forgot those. I have done some minor mods to the truck but nothing substantial. Mainly braking mods to increase braking performance.

'Wing' mirrors, but one thing I can't find at the salvage yard... .....I am looking for those 4x4 factory fender skirts, like in Mickey's photo. ( any one with extras?) It would be an enhancement, but staying factory correct. The aftermarket ones are ... 'aftermarket'... Also, I heard I can up-grade the master cylinder with a later model one, to make the brakes more firm. With 375,00 miles, a GOOD repaint is just about the only replacement left! I will have the original style pinstripe done, but this time, the stripe will be under the clearcoat. Last edited by mountie; 09-28-2013 at 06:00 PM. Reason: additional comment |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Mountie, I might be able to get them at the junk yard. I did see an OBS style Suburban with the skirts on it. I can possibly obtain them for you and ship them.

I missed a set of those, including OEM tires with basically zero miles for $500. Didn't have the bux

Bad azz ride! Not a fan of phony cowl hoods or bling-bling lenses but it's a really sweet truck

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
I believe the ones I saw are like mine, BLACK. I'm not sure they are paintable. That is something you would have to know for sure. I can inquire about them and let you know about price of skirts/shipping.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
I would say the smooth ones are paintable, The textured ones can be painted but don't look right except satin black.
