Re: Cherubs 82 build
She is running really good. I couldnt be more happy with the performance. The only problem now is getting traction and keeping my foot out of it. Ive been driving it to work everyday and besides the hot ride home(no a/c) i couldnt have any complaints.

Re: Cherubs 82 build
Yeah I couldn't imagine having no A/C in Houston. My brother lives down there and you talk about humid!
Glad it's all going good man! I would love to see it. Do you have any pics of it all done? |

Re: Cherubs 82 build
Just a little update: I took the truck to get the rocker panels replaced. I should have the truck back by next weekend and then i will start on the body work and paint. I decided to paint the truck Dark Titanium metallic, Its the color of the new chargers and challengers.
picture barrowed I have most of the interior ordered and will knock that out after paint is done. I will post more pictures as this phase of the project continues.

Re: Cherubs 82 build
No burn outs vids yet but ill get one for you soon. Although not having limited slip im only laying down one strip
Stripped the whole truck down and been prepping the interior for paint. Finding out that i need a bigger air compressor. Here is a quick pick of how she sits. Man i envy some of you guys on this board with big shops. When i got the truck (2007) the PO had hacked the gauge bezel up so i chunked it, saturday i sourced one from a junkyark it was in decent condition, it could use some freshening up. I grinded out the bezel to fit the new autometer gauges. Quality control checking out the work.

Re: Cherubs 82 build
Ive been neglecting my build thread so here is the progress of late.
After I cleaned up the cab with some media blasting and sanding my neighbor Frog (who is attending UTI for collision repair) shot some sealer on the interior Then i went to sanding with 180 prepping for primer. I got the whole truck done and frog layed some high build primer and then i went to work with 320 blocking and uncovering low spots My friend in the picture above came over with some 22" foose wheels to see how they would fit on my ride. It made the choice to go with 20s that more solidified in my mind. OK enough playing around..... I went back to work, took off the bed and transfered it to Frogs. There we layed another coat of high build and a guide coat primer, then blocked with 600. We finished with black primer wet sanded with 2000 before the basecoat. Frog did three coats but since not enough care was taken to clean the booth out enough trash ended up in the paint where we sanded it again with 2000 and took the bed out and power washed it and the booth. Then we reshot a base coat followed by three coats of clear. We still need to flatten the clear and buff it out but here are some shots oh yea i didnt end up going with the dodge dark titanium metallic. It had too much brown in it for my taste. So i went with the ford medium titanium metallic. Well thats what two weeks of work has got me. We should be finishing up with the cab and rest of the body this sunday.
