reality !
3 drop spindle's, 2" shackles, 4 or 5 leaf's remove'd with 265/35/22's on TowNasty wheel's.
I have tubar upper and lower controll arm's, 4 link and bag's to go on it when I get home.

Here are some pictures of my truck from a month or two ago...now it's sitting on jack stands with the motor and tranny pulled.

Looks good you should paint your drums white or black since they are so exposed.

Here's Mine. DJM 3/5 kit. Think i might cut 1/2 coil out of the front when I have time. 18x8 front 20x10 Rear.

I have a '87 swb with 4 leafs in the rear no c-notch would I have any trouble running a flip kit?

you'll be fine but you'll need to remove the factory bump stops there's 4 rivets that hold them on and replace them with stubby ones

^ I know its kind of old but, monte0185 I have that same kit and agree the front needs to come down a little, how much is half a coil cut?

Front: McGaughys drop spindles, stock springs
Rear: 81-91 Suburban rear hangers and McGaughys drop shackle with the overload spring removed.


this is why they dont make lowering hangers for suburbans... they come like that from the factory! They dont bolt in, but you can use one of the factory holes, and drill the rest and add 3/8 grade 8 hardware.

So am I correct in assuming that you have to cut the rear bed floor support for the drop hanger install?

After 3inch spindals,cut one coil from stock springs,2 inch hangers and 2 inch shackles, removed 20 leafs aside! still needs lower. oh and 16inch wheels front 16.5 in the rear
