nice stance daveodom!
Is anyone having problems with 3" drop coils for the front when running drop spindles also? Any problems of the 3" coils falling out of place when the truck is lifted up or anything? |

Yeah, it happens every time....jack it up under the a-arms. Or are you catching air when youre driving to work?

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
neither but i did cut some springs down and that is what happened so i was wondering if i was gonna have the same problem if i order up some 3" drop coils... my 64 c10 is pretty high compared to my other trucks... i have a 08 tacoma x-runner with a big drop and a bagged mazda pickup so just trying to think of ways to get it lower before i end up bagging the c10... but dont want to have problems with the springs falling out of place all the time...

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
I thought it was great..you can install 3'' springs and not even tear apart the balljoints. When you start getting this low, you have to drive up on blocks and jack up under a-arms to keep the springs in place. I can also bounce my truck and the srings usually pop back into place....the price of looking cool.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
I used shorter shocks in the front that didn't extend as far as the stockers. The shock would limit the down travel of the suspension instead of that little rubber bumper on the upper arm.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
heres mine with the air bags dumped on the rear(sitting on the bump stops) and torsion bars turned down 5'',drove it around the paved alley's and never rubbed also seemed to handle ok but again it was just in the alley's so no real speed was achieved....also i believe those tires and rims that are shown measured 29'' tall

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Does someone make a stock drop spindle for our trucks? I see several trucks on here that say they have 2.5" drop spindles and still have 6 lug wheels.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Here's mine. ~4.5" in the front, with 1.5" stepped LCAs and 3" coils. I haven't dropped the back yet but the c-notch is almost complete and it will have manual-fill air bags, so it'll be basically static in the rear also.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
The front has been dropped 4" (drop springs and spindles) In the photo, the truck has really big tires on the front. The front sits a little lower now with 215/70/15s Not sure how much it was lowered in the rear. The springs were heated and cut when I bought the truck. They are pretty ugly, so I bought 6" springs from early classic. It went up when I put taller tires on the back from the picture. With the new springs, it looks like it will go back down a little more The stock bump stops are already hitting in the rear, so I'll be C notching the frame Sorry for the long jibberish

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Not sure......that’s how I bought it. I’m re-doing the whole suspension when I return from the deployment.
