Re: Dana 20 or Dana 205?

Case arrived today. Looks good, got it off the pallet and to the garage. Kinda dirty and oily but I'll start with cleaning it up. Got the skidplate and extra crossmember yesterday and cleaned and painted the plate at work today. Looks real good. Will try to post up some pic's asap.

Re: Dana 20 or Dana 205?

Like I said, got the np205 case today. Getting ready to clean it up, as it's greasy and dirty, etc. Looks like it's got some numbers stamped on it. What do they tell me? NP205 has a tag also? Just curios if I can track these numbers back to anything?

Re: Dana 20 or Dana 205?

Looks like I have to swap out my tran/trans case hump to put in the NP205. Looking for pic's of humps with 465 manual trans and np205 t-case's. Figured I had collected everything for this swap until now! Any help guy's?

Re: Dana 20 or Dana 205?

What are you planning to use the truck for? Off-roading or restore and cruise/daily driver? If your transfer case isn't broken and works well, money might be better spent somewhere else on your ride on something that definitely needs fixing IMO.

Re: Dana 20 or Dana 205?

Money already spent. Going to go 1 ton axle setup soon, so wanted to upgrade to the NP205 transfer case. Have already got the 205 case, the crossmember, the skidplate w/extra crossmember, the shifter w/knob, boot w/retainer, torsion mount, etc. I am there except just gotta get over this hump situation!
