Re: high school trucks
Here is my High School truck. It was a 74 that my Dad and I built. I finished it when I was 15 so I had to sit and stare at it in the driveway wait to drive it. I sold it right after high school and the guy totaled it a month later.

Re: high school trucks
Just graduated last year class of 2012.
The camo 86 k30 was my daily driver(which I bought when I was 15) The blue v10 was back up for when the k30 was down wrecked the k30 the beginning of my senior year and also took the v10 because of rust and started a frame up rebuild I bought another army 86 k30 to finish out my senior year now that I am going to have to drive further to school I bought a 02 duramax to replace the k30 as my daily driver but I also bought a 84 army k30 to keep the other truck company while I am at school. and I have every thing to rebuild my wrecked k30 which will be the next rebuild once my v10 is done. So 5 truck, 4 which are square bodys by 18...dont think I am doing bad.

Re: high school trucks
Man I always wanted a 73-87 swb in high school. Lots of my buddies had one. I had a pretty cool amc matador that was a hot rod. Had several other chevy trucks after high school....got my first 82 c10 at 29 years old but sold it. Now just bought another 84 gmc swb at 32. The're just cool

Re: high school trucks
Got my K10 a month and a half before I graduated It's an honor to say I graduated with a squarebody
Had a '77 Lincoln Mark V I traded for it. Here's the Lincoln.. I remember the first day I drove it to school, I could hear people in all my classes talking about it.. That was awesome Then I got the K10 at the end of April or the beginning of May Didn't like the tube grille or stepper at ALL. Only had the truck a week before I got a hold of the guy I got it from and traded $100 + my grille and bed for a stock grille and a fleetside lol Thats what it looked like when I graduated. So many memories of going in the woods with a few buddies after school. It's hard to believe it's the same truck I have had off and on for over a year I love it, and I will probably never sell it again..

Re: high school trucks
The truck in my avatar, I've had almost 16 years. I got it Dec 31 1996. My Junior year. It started life as a 305 TBI. It then progessed to a .060 350 to its new engine a 496 BBC. Wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

Re: high school trucks
1970 GMC, 1/2 ton, 4x4, 350 with a 4 speed. This was a project between my dad and myself. It's not perfect, but it was also a learning experience for the both of us.
Truck was repainted white originally, but it was a pretty crappy paint job. Then, luckily, someone side swiped me and got me a new paint job. |
