Re: pls post pixs of 67-72 Panels
I hope crewcab67 doesn't mind but I thought it would be good to include his dad's panel pics here....these were posted asking WIW.
here is his description of the truck, "it has a 67 front end all the door handels and side lights have been shaved, all the rust has been cut out and welded back with pach panels. It has PS, PDB, 5 lug, tack, tilt, 3" lowerd springs all the way around, C-noched over the rear end, all new tinted glass, new door rubbers, 400 SB runs good, TH350. It has all new interior in it." Re: pls post pixs of 67-72 Panels
I've been meaning to get an updated pic with the new rims for a while now. I got the rims from board member "MYGMCANDME" and had them blasted, painted and bought new centre caps. This is the pic I should of posted for the current TOTM contest.

Re: pls post pixs of 67-72 Panels
I haven't checked in with my Panel Brothers lately. I've been pretty busy all summer with work and haven't had a lot of time for my Panel, except saving money for a drive train. And now I have a shiny new Bowtie Overdrive's 200R and a greasy old 292 and fresh motivation. I get more done in the winter, anyway. I'll be getting that motor tore down and off to the machine shop in the next couple months and hopefully have a clear direction for it's re-build. I really, really want to supercharge it, so I will build it with that in mind. I just need to educate myself on what it's gonna take. I want reliability above all, with power and a heavy dose of cool.

Re: pls post pixs of 67-72 Panels
hey Pritch. You have some cool plans there, can't wait to hear about the progress. I'm getting near to winter storage time here and I have a small list of things to accomplish over the winter. Just a lot of small stuff really--like install the new dash pieces I have, fix the leak under the dash that drips on my foot when it rains, finally get the e-brake hooked up and maybe a tie-rod and ball joint replacement.
Anyway it was good to hear your plans-maybe the other guys will pop in for an update. There are a few panels on here I've been wondering about lately. cheers! |

Re: pls post pixs of 67-72 Panels
Thanks, Robb. I need/want to have my drivetrain complete by spring. That's the big plan, but like you, I have lots of little details to deal with also. I guess I need to thin down the motor collection some. Now that I have the one I want, I can get rid of some of the others. I have a 2nd gen 350 out of a junked-out boat and a 327 out of a junked-out 'Burb. My friends kid wants the 327 for his '67 Chevelle project, but I'm gonna make him trade me something for it. Maybe a fender or something. I also have a complete, running 230, 2 complete and running 250's, everything but the block for another 250 and a dis-assmbled 292 of questionable worthy-ness.
79Wagon, good to see another panel being saved! Welcome to the club!

Re: pls post pixs of 67-72 Panels
When I see them I save the pics, damn these are RARE! Pre '67 all day long, '67-'72 nope! Anyway... I have some pics of 4wd versions somewhere, I'll see if I can find them. The 3rd and 4th pic are the same vehicle by the way.

Re: pls post pixs of 67-72 Panels
dont think a harley will fit unless it has drag bars, but even then it might not. i had a 2007 yfz 450 quad and it would not fit in the back of my burb

Re: pls post pixs of 67-72 Panels
Man some of you fellows make me fell like Im starting with real gem.Unfortunately there is lots of shoty body work that been done that will have to be cut out and replaced before I can start the fun stuff like custom interior and slight hop up of the Big block. Ive included the only pic I have at present of the truck its 1969 1/2 ton that has only had two previuos owners and granfather was first one and he bought it back from the guy he sold it to. So I guess Im third owner.Anyway its back in the family and ready for seriuos makeover.

Re: pls post pixs of 67-72 Panels
Hey! I purchased the 67 panel pictured on the trailor! It is now sitting on a 72 4wd suburban frame with new front clip, new crate engine with new built 700r4, radiator, newly covered bucket seats , new marine plywood floor, new bumpers with bumperettes, tow hooks and new interior so far. From the front fenders back it still has the same body, but a work in progress!
