Re: parting out 1968 C-30 Custom Camper 28K original miles fact AC, speed minder, cru
I've had nothing but delays taking this stuff off. On top of that, it's been sprinkling on and off and pretty cold here today in florida. I am actively PM'ing people as I get close to removing the parts they want. I have the doors torn down to shells and I am taking the seats out tonight.
Please forgive the delays, honestly I didn't expect soooo much interest in this stuff. The more I look at the truck the more cool stuff I am finding. It had a dual battery setup, a block heater, some grounding straps I've never seen before. I am being extra careful with the disassembly so it's taking a lot more time than I expected. I will be devoting the entire day tomorrow to disassembly. Jason

Re: parting out 1968 C-30 Custom Camper 28K original miles fact AC, speed minder, cru
Here are some more pics.
And more prices. door edge guards pretty good originals $20 plus shipping camper mirrors original Chevy with bolts $40 plus shipping I haven't pulled the cruise control yet. And I need help pulling the seats since I can't hold the lower bolts and turn the uppers. This would be a great bagger project, it has an old propane tank that may be usable for compressed air. Not sure. The rear end is a 10 bolt with 4.57 gears. I can imagine what a big block hot rod this could be. More pics of cruise control etc.

aaron there are still a couple in front of you on most of it. You may be next on the seats. I am printing out the entire thread and marking it with a marker to delete the ones that have backed out. I am doing this as fairly as possible so i don't make enemies. Please be patient, I am working as fast as I can.

Re: parting out 1968 C-30 Custom Camper 28K original miles fact AC, speed minder, cru
Thanks John,
this has become overwhelming. I already jumped someone by accident on the cruise control which I've since corrected, I want everyone to know that I'm not looking to get rich or make anyone angry. I love these trucks and I have a ground up restored 71 GMC and I was great friends with Ed at Mother Truckers before he passed. I live about 4 miles from where he was and I have the same ethics when dealing with this stuff. I've been pulling the parts and getting better condition assessments. Very time consuming to pull the parts without messing them up. I honestly never expected sooo much interest in this stuff. I have a friend coming over today and we are devoting the entire day to disassembly. So far, Wancosc356 has bowed out on his requests, and the speedwarning dash is sold to msgross. 71GMC shorty is next on the cruise but I accidentally put someone else in front of him, so 71 GMC shorty calls it on the cruise. The doors aren't worth shipping but someone local could probably save them. I have the vent windows, mirrors, door glass, CST emblems, door edge guards and door trim all pulled for now, by the end of the day I'll have a substantial amount of your requests for photos, etc. and shipping prices to follow. If it makes it easier for you guys, approximate the weight and dimensions of your item, go to UPS.com and use the shipping calculator, in some cases, I'll need a few extra bucks for a box so to be safe, add $3 to their shipping quote and that will put you very close to what I charge for shipping. My zip is 34208. I don't pad shipping rates and I don't charge for handling. I just want to pocket what the part price is and not spend ALL of it on boxes. Most of the items you guys want can be shipped for $35 or less, it's the big heavy items that concern me.

I finally got some stuff torn down.
Here are some pics Headlight bezels and grill hoops, a few minor dings on hoops but overall pretty decent, $10 for each piece plus the shipping. 68 steering column, complete minus blinker lever and the shift pointer housing is broken at the screw hole, non tilt, automatic with steering wheel and horn button $75 plus shipping or will separate $50 for the column 25$ for the wheel and button. Plus shipping. CST door emblems, one had pins broken off, some pitting, $15 for the pair shipping included door edge guards $20 for the pair plus shipping
