Liking the build plans and the 20's already look great but will be awesome once you drop it!

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"
I think Josh and I are both happy with the deal.
Also put the truck to work today. Brought home this cab and don't know what I'm gonna do with it right off but I'm thinking maybe use it to make a rockcrawler maybe maybe. Don't know yet. Also you can see where I've been working on the rust on the hood with the clr. It's working pretty good it's just slow going. |

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"
The throttle sticking was no f-ing joke man. That scared the poo outta me. And then that dern semi coming by when I was under the hood didn't make it any better lol. I'm glad it was something simple. And you are more than welcome to come over next weekend, pick up the wagon wheels, and help me put her closer to the dirt.

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"
Dennis when I finally got the truck stopped it was at full throttle in first gear. We were on the side of the interstate. The front tires were stopped and the back tires were just spinning and had to throw it in neutral and shut it off real quick. The IP on my truck had what I guess was an auxillary spring on it. Well it came loose and wedged itself between the throttle on the IP and the intake manifold. Unwedged it and it ran fine. Scary as he'll though when it happened.

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"
Why did you go with Coy C5's instead of the cheaper Boss 338?

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"
Because I traded 1972supercheyenne my crewcab roller for them. So they are what he had so I went with them. Also I'm trying to give the truck a streetrod feel to it and coys are a classic style like the torque thrust II. So they fit the look I'm going for also.

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"
You gonna do a big brake kit on the front? Only around $650 and with those 20's it will really help.

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"
Thanks Charlie. Yeah it was barely to big for the tailgate to go up but I have a 6.5 foot bed so it should fit in a longbed easy.

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"
so how did the cab fit widthwise? Did you have to sit it on top of the wheel tubs or did it fit in between?

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"
I had to sit it on top. The bottom of the firewall is angled so that cleared the wheel well and then in the back side there's a void all the way across between the cab corners for the gas tanks and the frame. So the wheel well sat down between there. The rockers sat flat on the bed floor so it was really stable.

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"
Yeah but I think the angle on th firewall is what was clearing not the hump. The bump isn't large enough to go over the wheelwell by itslf. I don't think
