Re: Is it possible to find a solid 67-72 SWB?
I'm in Houston as well and I've experienced everything that the OP has. Texas loves their trucks and it can be a challenge to find one. But they come in spurts. I can look on CL for a month straight and not find anything. Then I'll look for another month straight and find listing after listing. Lol. I looked today and found quite a few. I've gotten the go ahead from the accountant (wife) a while ago when I took her to the car show a couple of months ago up in Conroe. Hopefully I'll pull the trigger on one before the F**d F250 bug bites me any harder. Lol.
Cericd, did you go look at the gold one yet? Where is it located? |

Re: Is it possible to find a solid 67-72 SWB?
It certainly is----
As its been said, its a buyers market now. I spend hours every day looking for the fun of it and find decent trucks in the 3--4K (and up) range. If youre doing a craigslist search----look outside of your area. Its been my experience that big cities---and the west coast has the highest prices usually. Look on the classifieds here and inlist the help of some of the parts dealers out around Az. trucks are sounder and Ive found a couple guys out there who are very honest. You can also do a craigslook search---- that will show you many trucks available nationwide.

Re: Is it possible to find a solid 67-72 SWB?
Here's my secret, if you have a smart phone get a craigslist app. Here is my favorite http://craigslist-notification.mufumbo.com/ you can have multiple searches saved " 67 c10" "chevy" ect, set a price range for each, have it search several cities, AND IT NOTIFIES YOU WHEN SOMETHING NEW IS POSTED! I bought my last car this way, I was searching for miatas in the less than $1000 range, not an easy task, took me a month or so, I found several, just had other people beat me there with the cash (I had to work till 5) you're not the only one looking for a deal on a truck, get this free app, have cash ready, have someone available to drive you there, when you find a deal don't hesitate go check it out now, stuff happens fast searching CL once a day isn't enough any more and when you spend an hour typing in all of your searches somebody else is buying your truck.

My ears are burnin'! Yes, it's my dad's. He and I rebuilt it around 5 yrs ago. It's a solid truck. We would rather hang on to it than give it away! I am planning a big block/ 700r4 swap in the fall! Posted via Mobile Device |
