My patience was rewarded. Low milage originals are getting harder to find. So glad you're keeping it that way. Sure enjoy the pictures. There's others that may want close-ups of particular areas as they restore their 67 to stock status.

Thanks for all the good words everyone, I plan on putting on some original style steel wheels and tire with the dog dish hubcaps. I will store the originals . Will post more pics soon

I smell a rat here. The first engine pic shows an engine with my guess 50,000 + miles and with quite a few years usage on it and I see some of the decal is missing on the valve cover and also missing paint here and there even the lower water outlet housing has No paint on it. The second pic shows a nice freshly painted engine or almost freshly painted engine and now the valve cover decal looks quite different being a little more complete also now the water outlet lower housing has paint on it now. Don't know how he can say "all block and manifold paint is original" when the first pic clearly shows a very much used motor with missing paint here and there. I don't know if you all seen what I had seen but come on at least get the pics right, Its just what I saw.

Both my 67s' with deluxe had black faces AND black knobs.


As for being a early model run truck.
The date codes i find on mine are all '66. And i know it was built in aug.and delivered in oct. 66'. Yours appears too have the same hazard flasher knob as mine.
Its my understanding early trucks had these knobs and rearveiws mirrors with the 66 knob on them.

Was it a east coast truck all its life? Which plant was it built?

Im sure ya checked under the floor mat for the build sheet. Mine was just crumbled deteriorted peices between the tank and cardboard i could tell what it was but it was done for.

Awesome its pretty much a longer twin too what mine was.

The pic with the torn decal is picture b4 i changed the leaking valve cover gasket , like i said in my post when i removed the valve cover , as i cleaned it up with degreaser and brake cleaner, the paint was pealing off . I repainted it and put on a new sticker . Makes sense that i took before pics for future reference!! Theres always some ass....e.

And when i replaced thermostat i cleaned and painted the water inlet housing. I saw no reason to put it back together looking like crap

Dont concern yourself with the skeptics. There will always be some, no matter where take or post the truck. I know it sucks to be called a liar.

Just keep posting up your pics, theres not many trucks out there like yours and there are lots of members here that love/want the info you are providing.

Very nice truck! The low miles are very believable due to the radio delete plate. Obviously nobody wanted to drive it without a radio. Seriously though a true gem, is there any back story to go with it?
