Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
All in all we, (My Beautiful wife, JoJo, and I) had a great time with fellow gearheadz...
If at all possible, plan on making the trip to Clem's next October… Visiting his little slice of automotive heaven should be on your bucket list...

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
Great pics Don.
Thanks for sharing. My favourite pic that had me gasping like fish out of water is the T shirt with Sinclair and a Chevy truck. I have a real thing for all things Sinclair as you know.

That red truck was Clem's Razorback red truck that he built and sold earlier this year...
Will be posting some stuff this week for you and Martin...

Awesome pics Don! Thanks for sharing. Last weekend was the little lady's birthday weekend, so I thought it would be smart to do something for her. Lol. Hopefully I can make it next year. Any more pics or info on the little roadster?

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
Small update today… after working with electrician friend to get some lights on the studio sign, then checking out furnace on RV and insulating water line… I stole away to the shed and started to re-arrange parts and pieces in order to move forward on the truck…
Truck Time... All I really accomplished was moving door innards from damaged driver's door to the new to me door… small update, but update nonetheless...

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
I tell you what Don, when Martin snagged that replacement door for £100/$160 in March, I wanted it as well, but moving all the glass, hardware etc scares me so much that I was kinda glad he got it, forcing me to repair my creased passenger door.
You see it as small progress, I see a job without which you cannot progress. Last night Nicola made us roast chicken, potatoes and roast vegetables, followed by red berry fruits, crushed meringue nests, a dash of ice cream with whipped cream on top and coffee later, as the builder is coming in today to repair the ceiling, replaster the walls which are textured etc from the water damage we had in September.... So we will not have a kitchen for a while as he fits us into his regular job, but it saves a lot of money. Progress is progress.

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
prepping the place for winter is a good thing and stealing a little truck time is a better thing.
we had a bad thing happen yesterday. went out to a buds place to drag back a 63 1 ton when the motor in the dually went south. big knocking sound. will get towed back today and investigate trouble... but i'm really bummed. oh well, if i have to replace the motor it will be a good time to put the 5-speed in that i got from kieth years ago. |

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
Stealing a little truck time…
Clem, that;s a buzzkill for sure for the dually, at least in the present, but I'm digging' the 5 speed upgrade... Thanks for the encouragement guys, Progress is progress! Prepping for winter this weekend is a Must Do as the high to day is forecast to be 22 C and the the average high for the next 9 days is just under 8 C... that equates to 72F today and an avg of 47F for the next 9 days…which is about 20 below our avg for this time of year… Enough moaning and groaning… Plans are to get the cab tucked away for hand sanding and get started on Frame Swap...

Making progress brotha! That's what counts. Highs here have been in the mid 50's and lows in the 30's for almost a month now. Ah well...Bond fire time! lol
