They came out of a 1997 k10. 6 way power on the D.S.,
power Lumbar on both sides. That Is why I chose them.
There is also a center console, not in the pic.
The original fabric is glued to the cushing, making the recover
my upholsterers nightmare. He made it work, but not cheap,
especially with that red leather. We also deleted the headrest.

After 10+ years my truck and its hood have been reunited!
Just a few more things to do and the exterior will be completed.

I got the 350 dynoed today he changed out the secondary metering rods and it is running better than it even has. He also adjusted my trans cable at the throttle and that helped a lot also. Problem is I got a crazy rear end shake around 4000 rpm. 197 hp at 4493 rpm and 246 ft pounds at 3710 rpm.

Soaked the backing plates for the front brakes on the '66 in Evap-O-Rust, rinsed and dried them. Next time out to the shop I'll bead blast them, then etching primer and then black. One more small step forward!

Glad it made an improvement. If I had a reputable dyno tuner near me I'd seriously consider the same. It's like the icing on the cake, you know...the final touch.

Made a little fix on the driver side of my hood. This is the most assembled my truck has been in years. Feels good seeing it actually looking like a truck finally. Hopefully my pictures work.

Thanks! I just cut out the section that was “over-hanging” and made some relief cuts to allow the metal to fall into place a little easier. I ended up making longer relief cuts than are pictured too. No filler on it yet but it will require some in the end.

Finished up installing the rear end, 4" drop springs, shock relocators, brand new innards (3.73 posi). Waiting on the panhard bar, should arrive in a day or so. Going to run brake lines between now & then.

Installed Captainfab's Power steering conversion into my 62, and began the process of shortening the frame for a 7' bed. 8"/4" cut.

It's CaptainFab's PS adaptor. While I think he designed it originally for the 63-66 chassis, it does work on the earlier X frame chassis. THIS was a helpful thread for me.

I shortened the frame today following a modified version of the method outlined by SkinnyG on his thread.

Being a lurker more than a provider of information unless you need advice on what to do after dropping in a crate motor then having the lower radiator hose come off without knowing it and almost burning it up.....

I came into an inheritance from my mama that I may use to paint my truck after owning it since 1997!

I actually recently got it started and took for a drive as it's been super cold and dealing with siblings evil ways since moms death as I'm executor of the trust. She ran good after possibly saving the motor with some new fuelie heads (I think), she ran good and a little gun shy as it just was almost toast. I saved the lower end, compression and leak down test passed. Bent two valves as they cooked and stuck in the guides.

Other than that, slowly replacing stuff. My truck is in the hello portion a few pages back by now I'm sure.
