Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
BTW, a little known fact is that cali cars have rust, not a lot compared to your area but the real deal is in Arizona.
I used a 8x8 inch piece of a patch panel to repair the floor in my '63 short bed. The only cab rust there was at all was on the drivers floor corner.

That's the last I knew of. He did the frame Z & found a bubble top for the car but it wasn't on yet. I spoke w/him briefly @ the Columbus GG's show a couple of years ago. Incredibly.... He was driving the 55 & it still looked good. The cool 'Fly' wheels were long gone & replaced w/some Welds but it was otherwise all there (approx 20yrs on the clock!).

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
I was talking to Steve Stanford at the Grand National Roadster Show in January, and he told me that He and Scott are bouncing around ideas for a 66-67 Nova project. They are talking about using a 65-69 Corvair roof and making a bubble top Nova. Now, that would be badass......
As a matter of fact, Steve kind of let the cat out of the bag and showed the rendering of it in Hot Rod magazine a few months ago.

A little progress this week, exhaust and wheels. Billet Artilleries finally in from The Wheelsmith, mounted up some tall tires to help get that nice comfy ride.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
Man, that is looking great.
I have been racking my brain for the last few months trying to figure out how I was going to run my exhaust because my suspension very similar to yours, with the exception of the wishbone direction. I want a full exhaust, and the mufflers have to be placed back as far as possible to keep the cab quiet. I also don't like the look of exposed exhaust tips. I like the way you did yours. I was figuring with the placement of my bags and the shape of the upper wishbone, I was going to have to put in a short exhaust. Now I see that it is possible to run the pipes out the back. I am running a 3" exhaust and will be running v-band clamps, so that will take up a little more room. Thanks for the inspiration! So, are you going to make Columbus?

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
Hey Boris, a little off topic here but I was looking at radiators on ebay and I was checking the feedback for Engineered Cooling Products (ECP) and noticed your name in there. Did you get a rad from them and if so, what did you think of it?

looks pretty good for the price, won't know much about its efficiency until I get it completely together though.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
I actually just got mine today. Hope to get it in this weekend. It's got to be better than the 48 year old stock radiator.
