One more time.... The 235-55's are @ all 4 corners. If you wouldn't mind verifying, what size are the inner rears?

Re: How bout some pictures of '73-'87 regular cab dually
any one using the hanger/shackle kit to lower the rear? how much does it really lower by removing the overload leaf and this combo? and if using a flip kit i read it 8" is a notch really neccesary?

When I measured my CC dually for the flip kit it would have left me w/about 1" between the axle tube & the bottom of the frame & a similar amount between the top of the differential (Dana 70HD) & the bed floor.

Based on mine, shackle & hangers would work w/a air over leaf helper & stock frame rails for sure. With a flip kit, notching the frame would have been mandatory. But if that was done, towing wouldn't have been an issue since nothing was changed other than the flip.

Re: How bout some pictures of '73-'87 regular cab dually
Looking for a clean low mileage 73-87 single cab dually 2wd. I'm located in California but if the truck is right I will buy anywhere in the US. Must be clean, real clean.
This thread is full of great looking trucks, and this is a cool site. Glad to be here. |

Nice setup clunker! thats going to be a very cool truck. I like the fact you are running a taller tire in the front and rear than are usually ran. keep the pictures and progress coming.

Also my truck has the stock 4.10 gear and at 65mph she is screaming. Should I go with a 3.73 or 3.42? Makes the truck not enjoyable to drive if you have to avoid interstates. lol

Same guy owns all of them and are listed on Topeka craigslist. What a lucky guy to be able to own a herd of these squares as nice as those.
