Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

I like the LS engines myself, at first the swap was intimidating, buts its not that bad.

Pirelli is the on maker of the 405/25/24, they've been making it for a few years. Google "drops r us" out of Houston and you'll see a bunch!

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

I m thinking to go with ls... but don t know wich one to take because i want torque not hp...
I thougt taking a 454 lsx from gmpp there is cubic inches
But it is not easy to take a decision a 572 or 502 bb is also sweet...

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

Personally I've had my fill of carbs, love the fuel injection. But I agree with the big block's being sweet! I've got a 6.0L with a cam probably be near the 500 mark on torque.

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

Wow! Just seeing this. As a younger guy who got into trucks during the mini truckin phase (thank goodness I'm over that), I'm now a little older and appreciate the amazing stylistic cues of these "factory looking" trucks slammed on some big wheels. The trim, body lines, etc., on these trucks are just pure genius! Constantly amazed.

Such a killer looking truck! One of my favorites on the board.

Thank you so much. About 20 years ago I use to shave all the chrome, now I love it! Guess taste change, but I'm glad I came around! LOL!

That's exactly the way I was. Glad I've "grown up" a little.

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

I love your truck! Love the color, is the bottom green? Factory color? As far as the 24's on the rear with a steel floor, you'll have to cut it and make a metal bridge cover or raise the whole thing. I think the first option would be way easier at the point your at.
