That's cool. I'm kind of in the same situation. My budget is dwindling, and was contemplating the sale of the toy, but hopefully it won't come to that. I noticed yours when my uncle was looking for a swb. Looks like a nice truck, and glad to see it will be hanging around here.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

New truck pics. This camera angle jus makes my truck look sick IMHO. But I think with some 12" wide slicks and smoothie wheels 3" more drop in the front will just complete it.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

think there was one one here that done that tailgate mod on a older truck he allso used a set of extra stepside fenders as the inner fenders/tubs think it was a 56/57 apache truck because the fenders where more slanted .

you might want to raise those fenders to be level with the sidewindows and allmost loose the edge of the bed alltogether and just sheetmetal the space across the fenders in at the back to make the mod look right

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

I got her running just long enough to test the 4 link and air valves. Then I took it all apart again cuse just like a good chevy she pisses oil everywhere. It will never be a "show" truck. Thats not what I am into. If you make them all dolled up, you never want to drive them. Nothing like a sat evening drive and letting the ass of the truck destroy the US 60.....
