Re: How to lower my ride? Please help a newbie.
Dear all, in the end I ordered the air lift set up. At the moment front is installed and I am more than confident with the result. I think it's real fast and it works great. The options like leak warning are a great help.
I think this took me a big step forward. System works with 3/8" valves, slam bags, and WHAT DO YOU THINK??????????????????????????????? Here's the link to a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AA7lSpPhuxI Plans for next weekend are to install the rear bags which will be hard without welding ( without welding because otherwise I am going to get in trouble with the German TÜV). Hope to accomplish this target. In most cases it takes longer than you have thought! Also I want to lower the rear additionally 2" with lowering blocks, mount a original rear bumber because this should look lower and a tow hitch. BTW, I use an Range Rover compressor and it works much better than I imagined. Working pressure is 175psi ( which is a lot in my opinion), compressor turns on at 145psi and it only takes 50 seconds from 145 to 175 with an 20 liter tank. |

Los-
It looks good. Thanks for the details as well as the video. It's getting there. It won't too much longer before you have it on the road. So, do you need to go with a bolt-on four-bar (link) to keep it legal?

@boxrodz
Thank you. A four link would be a way but I spend a lot of money this year so a four link doesn't seem to be in my budget. I have to find other solutions. I drive the truck every day at the moment and have a lot of fun. Best of all after some work the system doesn't leak not even 1psi in two days! I am realy confident with the speed and options of the system. As I said above next weekend hope to get the rear done. |

Re: How to lower my ride? Please help a newbie.
Hey guys, just wanna let you know that everythig is working great with the airlift set up.
I installed the rear bags several weeks ago and set my hangers 2-3" higher but without a lower stance. So I have to cut my leafs. I am a little bit confused how to handle this because i read if you remove leafs you are going to get in trouble. N2TRUX told to remove a leaf ut as I said I am not sure about this so what would you suggest me to do. Remove a leaf or two or just to shorten the existing ones. I have a four leaf set up. |

Re: How to lower my ride? Please help a newbie.
You can't cut rear leafs. Are you running an air over leaf setup?
You can remove 2 leafs from the 4 you currently have for a minumum of 2.
