Re: show your67 72 chevy spot light trucks
My old neighbor has a nice 56 with dummy spots mounted to the cowl. I always thought that the dummys were used to replicate the originals that they used in the 50's, but he told me that they used the dummy spots in the 50's also just for the looks not to be functional.

Re: show your67 72 chevy spot light trucks
you should have it lugged into the ignition unfused plug on the fuse box.... if its there and the connection is good then check the bulb if the filiment inside is broken then get a new bulb.. if thats good then check the brass connections inside the spotlight and check to see if there clean and let electricity flow.. after that... theres nothing more you can do lol

Re: show your67 72 chevy spot light trucks
Rick, It will be awhile! She's tucked away in the shed acting as a parts bin. Also I'm not going to start that project until the 72 build is done.

Re: show your67 72 chevy spot light trucks
Always wondered about these spot lights, got them on both sides. Both still work, but the hole in the a-pillar is really rusty. They have the GM on them.
Its nice to have a thread about them, I have not seen them on any other truck like mine before. |

Re: show your67 72 chevy spot light trucks
Double spots were installed by the dealership for the original owner...both still work great and the solid mast antenna has a very precise bend in it to avoid contact with the passenger side spot!
